My James Madison Freedom of Information award winning podcast made possible by SF Sunshine Task Force. Without it, police would have buried this botched investigation forever podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…
The Sunday scaries are managed a bit better with a good to-do list. Only been doing these for about 50 years.
If I want to find out how Gary Murphy prosecutions collapsed I’m going to have to interview the scumbag informant from the time.
Cops and DA have refused to be interviewed. I know police lost phone evidence and SF DA twice declined to charge despite other strong evidence.
Weird assumptions that Californians have to worship college football. We have other stuff to do and other passions. It’s not 1983.
My sister passed away at University of Utah Hospital. Remember seeing the football field from the hospital. Association makes me root for Utes. They took good care of her.
Alex shot and killed himself 14 years ago today. Great teammate and friend who lived a wild life. I suspect CTE. Owning 13 guns didn’t help. I also suspect undiagnosed bipolar.
Cal playing a half of football is very Cal this season. Something quite off with coaching/motivation.
Congrats!
Many thanks to the woman who tracked me down at @Bouchercon with a copy of my first crime thriller, STILL RIVER, a private detective novel from 2005 nominated for a Shamus Award. It’s not everyday I get to sign one from my early days in publishing.
It’s okay for SF media to stop jocking them when they’ve been gone for 50 years. Let it go.
Jerry Garcia’s family and partners are planning a permanent Bay Area cultural center devoted to the Grateful Dead co-founder’s music, art, archives and environmental interests. sfchronicle.com/entertainmen…
Spiked story from blog cause subject complained but it’s in my book. Reno, 2:30 a.m., Atlantis. Guys insult client’s date. Client hits one with shot glass. Guys beat him, cave in his eye socket. They were ultimate fighters. Night before settlement, client busted fed drug case.
Daisy then Butter. Daisy had passed. Devastated. I work from home so made a few calls. Nothing at shelters quite popping. Enter the Butter.
Things I hate about the Bay Area: designated virtue signaling parking spaces for electric vehicles.
Any other parts of country do this?
