I don’t know how to describe the extent of the helplessness and anguish we are experiencing right now. We are not asking for luxury, nor are we even dreaming of a dignified life. We are simply trying to find something to feed our children, while soaring prices consume whatever little ability we have left to keep going.
For many days, I have stood helpless in front of more than 18 children of my nephews and nieces. Children whose only fault in this life is that they were born in Gaza. Today, they are being deprived of their most basic rights, to eat when they are hungry and to sleep without being haunted by the fear of going hungry the next day.
How painful it is to feel responsible for children, to see their needs right before your eyes, and yet be unable to provide even the simplest necessities for them. How heartbreaking it is to watch their childhood being taken away, not because they lack dreams, but because you can no longer afford to buy food.
I am writing to you today with whatever strength I have left, desperately pleading with you to help me afford food for these little ones.

Everyone at The Sameer Project’s Refaat Alareer Camp knows Amir. His infectious energy, his dancing, his smile, and his larger-than-life personality make him impossible not to love. Support here: chuffed.org/project/113327-r…
Amir faces significant medical challenges, including a defect in his hard palate (the roof of his mouth). But with the dedicated support of our onsite occupational therapist and physiotherapist, he continues to make incredible progress.
Even the determination it takes to learn to drink through a straw, blow up a balloon, and improve his speech when the roof of your mouth hasn't developed properly. These are milestones many take for granted, but for Amir, each one is a victory.
This is why rehabilitation matters. This is why consistent care matters. And this is why The Sameer Project remains committed to providing children like Amir with the therapy they deserve, right where they live.

My name is Maram. I am 32 years old, from Gaza, and a mother of five children. I have no job, and I face the fear of famine with a heart exhausted by helplessness. I never chose to be harsh, but my fear for my children forces me to stay strong, even as I break inside. How can a mother bear to watch her little ones go hungry while being unable to provide them with food? 💔

I think the issue with Japanese interacting with the rest of the world is what happens when ultranationalism becomes your last refuge. These people have been up their own asses for so long that they’re completely unprepared to have their glaring flaws read back to them.

Did your kids have a back-to-school checklist? Do you remember the excitement of picking out a new backpack, notebooks, pencils, and everything you needed for a new school year?
Support here: justgiving.com/page/thesamee…
Children in Gaza deserve that same experience. But after years of genocide, displacement, and financial devastation, most families cannot afford even the most basic school supplies.
On October 17, with the support of our partners at Small Steps Project, The Sameer Project distributed backpacks and stationery to *63 children at our Al-Sawarha Camp for a total cost of $1,414, after 11% transfer fees.
These children have already lost so much of their childhoods. They shouldn't have to lose their education too!

When a doctor prescribes medication to control high blood pressure, diabetes, or heart disease, it is NOT a suggestion. It is a medical necessity. Missing doses can lead to strokes, heart attacks, and life-threatening complications.
But in Gaza, patients with chronic illnesses are struggling to access even the most essential medications. Help here: chuffed.org/project/136892-m…
The Sameer Project works tirelessly to source these medicines, purchase them with your donations, and distribute them FREE to patients with prescriptions. And we don't show up just once or twice. We return before their medications run out. Because continuity of care saves lives.
On September 13, our medical team returned to Al-Sham Camp in Deir Al-Balah for its fourth follow-up visit, examining 55 patients living with hypertension, diabetes, asthma, heart disease, and other chronic conditions. Each visit during our Chronic Disease Medical Campaign costs on average $700.
Help The Sameer Project continue providing free medications and follow-up care to patients who cannot afford to miss a single dose. Donate to our Medical Campaign: chuffed.org/project/136892-m…

Half a million Palestinians have been cut off from World Food Programme food assistance. Hundreds of thousands of people in Gaza are living without a meal, as famine knocks on the doors of markets whose shelves stand empty.
But our team decided not to stand idly by while our people go hungry. We lit the fire, prepared food, and distributed it to displaced families exhausted by war and burdened by displacement, families who no longer know how they will provide food for their children, just like children everywhere else in the world deserve to have.
We will keep trying for as long as we can. We will continue lighting the fires in our cooking pots and reaching out to those in need, because hunger cannot wait, and human dignity begins with the right to food.

For Palestinians in Gaza, the thought of bread brings back painful memories - while also being the food staple eaten alongside every meal.

How many people were shot, injured, or killed simply trying to secure a bag of flour and carry it home to their families?
Bread. The most basic necessity. Something no family should have to risk their lives to obtain.
And now, flour prices are rising again. Bakeries are closing, and access to affordable bread is becoming increasingly difficult.
The Sameer Project Bakery remains open. Every day, we continue producing thousands of loaves for families who depend on us. We cannot allow another hunger crisis to unfold while we still have the means to help prevent it.
Help us keep our ovens burning, our bakery operating, and bread reaching the families who need it most. For this we need funding! Give to our Food and Water Campaign: chuffed.org/project/help-us-…

Bakeries across Gaza are closing as of today. Flour prices are rising. And soon, every bundle of bread The Sameer Project produces will cost more.
Support Gaza here: chuffed.org/project/help-us-…
With the military occupation continuing to restrict the entry of aid and commercial goods, even the most basic staple is becoming harder to afford.
Our bakery provides thousands of loaves of bread to displaced families who are already struggling to secure a single meal. But as flour becomes scarcer and more expensive, the cost of keeping our ovens running will rise.
We cannot allow another food crisis to unfold while the world watches. We need your support NOW to purchase flour, keep our bakery operating, and expand bread distributions before prices climb even higher.
Bread is survival in Gaza. We have seen from the past how serious, how dangerous, how bloody, the hunt for this basics food staple can get. Fund The Sameer Project Bakery by donating to our Food and Water Campaign: chuffed.org/project/help-us-…

Gaza’s water crisis has never ended. As international organizations scale back assistance, families face even greater shortages of the essentials they need to survive.
Donate now: chuffed.org/project/help-us-…
The Sameer Project once distributed nearly half a million liters of water a day. Since funding shortages forced us to cut back, we have never been able to restore that volume. The need has not gone away. Our ability to meet it has.
Families still need clean water to drink, cook, wash for prayer, and care for their children. They cannot wait for funding to recover.
Help us restore and expand our water distributions. Gaza needs this water. Gaza needs our assistance now. Become a monthy donor to our Food and Water Campaign: chuffed.org/project/help-us-…

Water Truck No. 21 reaches displaced families in Gaza.
Day after day, we continue to provide more trucks loaded with drinking water and deliver them to displacement camps across Gaza, where families depend on us as their only source of water.
Despite all the challenges, we will not stop trying. We will continue our efforts for as long as we can, because we believe that access to clean water is not a luxury, but a fundamental right that no human being should be denied.
Your donations make a difference!
