2/2 But I guess what helped me pass was the active learning strategy. For every article I read, I would write a paragraph. Every morning I would wake up and outline/write an essay based on a previous paper. I would teach my dog about nematodes. All based on the learning pyramid.

I had an insider's view of what went on at @PixWine. My monthly column for @jancisrobinson @Jancis_Robinson explains what Pix was *really* all about, what happened, and why it's not a good sign for the wine industry. Pix—The Inside Story vinography.com/2022/09/pix-t… via @vinography

When you get a new wine text, are you the type to dive right in? Or do you dread over how in the world are you going to learn all this stuff?
For both, the best approach to get the most out of your text, and retain stuff for exams, is to use the 3 A's

The growing interest in #plantbased diets and solutions is impacting the way fine #wine is being produced and distributed.
What could a 100% plant-based system look like?
When #finedining goes 100% plant-based, what does it mean for the wine list?

Following a deep dive into social media analytics, I've come to the following conclusion: FB is about people; IG is about events; Twitter is about ideas. Or, put differently: FB = you; IG = me ; TW = the world. This explains so much. #loweredexpections #socialmedia

When we have a goal we want to achieve - do we need to give it our entire focus in order to succeed? Or can we focus on what's most important (even if it's not our goal) and still be successful? I hope it's the latter - because that's what I'm doing. outwines.blog/2022/02/04/foc…
