Zachary 🇺🇸 🇺🇦🐝

I’ve created a new Facebook page dedicated to my volunteer work supporting Ukraine. 💙💛 I’m giving this work its own space and keeping my personal Facebook for family and friends. On the new page, I’ll share equipment collections for Ukrainian defenders, updates, receipts, photo and video reports, and other volunteers’ collections that need a boost. With someone impersonating me online, I also want you to have a place you know is mine. I will never send you an unsolicited private message asking for money. My collection requests will be posted publicly. Please follow the new page and help me spread the word. To everyone who has donated, shared, encouraged, and stayed with us through the long collections…thank you. You’ve helped make the results possible, and I’m grateful. 🇺🇦 facebook.com/share/p/19uX4of…

Hi everyone, and welcome. I’m Tanya, a Ukrainian-Polish Canadian based in Toronto. Since 2022, I’ve been volunteering to support Ukrainian defenders by organizing equipment collections and helping share the work of other volunteers. This work is deeply personal to me. I have family in Ukraine, including cousins serving, and I work directly with defenders whose needs I help bring to our community. Behind every collection are people trying to stay safe, do their jobs, and return home to their families. I’ve created another profile page to give my volunteer work a dedicated space while keeping my personal life more private. This one is on Instagram. (My Facebook link is below.) Here, I’ll share collections, progress updates, purchases, receipts, and photo and video reports as they become available. I’ll also amplify other transparent collections for military and humanitarian needs. Transparency matters to me. When people contribute, they deserve to know what they are supporting and to see the results. Reports can sometimes take time because the people providing them are serving under difficult conditions. I follow up and share confirmed information when I receive it. The people who donate, share posts, contribute raffle prizes, translate messages, and cheer us on make this work possible. I’m grateful for every person who helps. Small contributions and simple shares have helped us complete collections together. Unfortunately, someone has also impersonated me online and used my name and family photos to approach others. I will never send you an unsolicited private message asking for money or donations. Any collection I organize will be shared publicly here, with its purpose and updates. If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from me, please verify it through this page before responding or sending anything. Thank you for being here, for caring about Ukraine, and for standing beside the people defending it. 💙💛 Link below in comments if you are unable to scan the QR code 😘☀️

IMPORTANT: Someone is impersonating me and requesting money privately. Please share this warning. I have learned that someone using my name and photographs, including photographs of my family, has been communicating with an acquaintance (fella) for months after moving the conversation to Telegram. That person is not me. I am Tanya, a Canadian volunteer supporting Ukrainian defenders. I work full-time, alongside part-time work and occasional contracts. I do not ask people online for money for myself, personal favours or financial support. I do not run my own telegram group chat either. Please understand how my collections work: • I share public collection links supporting Ukrainian defenders, including my cousins’ units at the front. Donations go directly to the Ukrainian military recipients identified in those collections, not to me. • I may send a collection link privately and ask you to share or repost it. I will not engage you in prolonged private conversations to pressure you into donating. • I will not send you distressing stories about an injured cousin or my sick child as a way to emotionally manipulate you into sending money. My cousins who are defending and my child are perfectly fine and healthy. I have the best health benefits, so I would never ask for money for medicine for my child. • I will not move you to Telegram to solicit donations or direct you to an American PayPal account. • I do not address men here as “babe,” and “ain’t” is not language I use. These were details in the impersonator’s messages. However, familiar wording or family photographs should never be treated as proof that an account belongs to me. I live in Canada. A US telephone number presented as mine is another warning sign. I have reported the impersonation to PayPal and Telegram, and am gathering evidence to provide to police this evening, including the telephone number and PayPal address used. This deception exploits my identity, the trust of this community and the suffering of Ukrainians. Money diverted through these scams is money that could have helped defenders at the front. If an account claiming to be me asks you for money, stop and verify with me through my established twitter account before sending anything. Use the collection links published on my established account, rather than payment details supplied in a private conversation. If you have been contacted, please preserve the messages, screenshots, account link and payment details, and report the account. Please 🙏 share this warning across our community. Thank you for helping protect one another and the defenders we support. To the person (Deborah Petroff in Arkansas) watching my posts and impersonating me: you are trying to steal from Ukrainian defenders while our people face genocide. Why prey on those already suffering? There is a deep cruelty in that choice. But understand this: you will not silence me or stop this work. I will keep exposing the deception and standing beside our defenders. You do not get to take my name, my voice or my resolve.
