A complete team performance.
The numbers from the Chelsea Game:

Our 61 progressive passes vs Chelsea is the 3rd highest tally from any Premier League game this season.
The last time we made more progressive passes in a Premier League game was the 73 against Fulham in March 2024.

We know that Spurs, as a De Zerbi team, want to bait the opposition's pressure and attack the space in behind but they've actually spent the most time (total & relative) facing a low-block (defined as oppo. CMs in their own defensive third).

An update a few games later:
We have had more touches in the attacking 1/3 than any other Premier League team this season.
We still rank in the bottom 3 (18th) for xG (15th for set piece xG, 18th for open play xG).
Highlighted in this piece how impressive of a ball carrier Rio Ngumoha is (at just 18 years old too).
He made 16 progressive carries vs Villarreal, no player made more.
Something slightly different, but Iliman Ndiaye's performance against Man United got me looking into how we can measure the 'Unpredictability of Progressive Carries'.

A much needed win.
The numbers from the Coventry Game:

3 goals from outside the box, the last time this happened was the 6-2 win against Leicester City in September 2022.
With the injury news to Savio & Bergvall changes were expected (wasn't expecting 5).
Of course we made a number of transfers in the summer, but interested to see when we next start consecutive Premier League games with the same 11.
One to watch out for on Monday is how we contest across the pitch with aerial duels...
Monday's opponent Coventry have won almost double the amount of aerial duels (114) this season than Tottenham (58).

Tottenham won possession within 40m of United’s goal 11 times, the most by any team in a match this season

Conor Gallagher bullied Tielemans last night.. Won the most Second Balls of the night, all 4 inside United's half.
Alongisde Tonali and Bergvall, it was clear who won the midfield battle. Especially through United's right channel.
Van Hecke & Senesi both very impressive on the ball today, both are in the Premier League top 5 CB's for progressive passes per 90 this season.
Signs of encouragement.

Tonali's best performance in a Tottenham shirt?
His fitness stats also appear encouraging; he covered 11.9km against United, the 2nd highest figure from a Tottenham player this season (#1 is Solanke's 12.4km vs United).
Even at 10 men I was very impressed with our out of possession game today.
Our 10 high turnovers is the highest from an opposition team at Old Trafford since Newcastle United's 12 in December 2025.
