Michael Farris Smith’s latest is coming—think Faulkner meets McCarthy in a #Mississippi dive bar 📚 Lay Your Armor Down drops May 27—small-town Mississippi, bad choices, and grit that cuts deep. For fans of McCarthy, Woodrell, and Salvage This World’s Faulkner-esque soul. Lay Your Armor Down (May, 2025) and brace yourself. @SquareBooks @littlebrown
