Every time you encourage a child to read a book, you will change their lives - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. But child by child, book by book, we can change the world. Children who read become adults who think - and will build a world that’s better for EVERYONE. #literacy

Children's books are not a luxury. Libraries & librarians are not a luxury. The teachers who inspire kids to read are not a luxury. If you cut or undermine or lose these things – #literacy will cease to be a basic human right, and will become a luxury, available only to a few.

Set during the turbulent segregation era, @kwamealexander weaves a spellbinding story of struggle, determination and the unflappable faith of an American family in BLACK STAR, sequel to the acclaimed The Door of No Return. UKLA members RT to win 5 signed copies. #lucky13th
This is a masterpiece of a YA novel by @stewfoster1 The characters leap off the page and straight into your heart. The writing of will transport you to the early 90s and have you on a roller coaster of emotions. Highly recommend this one for pre-order as you won’t be disappointed
Yea, Yes, Yes to this

We’ve also said it before…this is why we exist! We want to spread the joy of reading for pleasure and connect children and their families to authors to help make connections to books that last a lifetime
I've said this before, but I'll say it again. READING FOR PLEASURE has the biggest positive impact of any factor on children's life chances. So if you want to change their lives forever - make books & reading central to everything you do. And let them just enjoy it! #literacy
We don’t post as much on X at the moment but we ant to make sure as may people as possible get the opportunity to see this and sign up before all the spaces are gone.

There's been lots of talk this week about the decline in children's reading. But whenever you give kids access to books, they still get so excited! The buzz at my @ChildrensBkShow events was incredible: 500 kids who couldn't wait to read a book! #literacy

We are delighted to celebrate #NonfictionNovember. What better time to share and browse our #ukla25 Longlisted books for the Information books category. A wealth of wonderful reads, for children and young people ( and adults too!) @Joyisreading @LockwoodCm
Wow! What a climax to the series. The whole series has been wonderful and The Great Fox revealed does not disappoint. It races along at break neck speed before an explosive ending. I couldn’t put it down. Well done @justynedwards . We can’t wait to see what you come up with next
