Since my one little post got such backlash, I am going to take a poll. Should Christians celebrate Halloween? (I don't believe we should, but what say you?)
7%Yes
93%No

When skeptics raise an eyebrow and ask me how I, a scientist, can believe in the miracles of the Bible, I tell them if I can believe God created an entire universe, complex life, and consciousness, why is it a stretch to believe he also spoke to Moses through a burning bush or turned water into wine?
These same skeptics are often fine with a universe that just magically pops into existence or some unknown mechanism cranking out infinite universes. But Jesus walking on water is a bridge too far. š¤¦āāļø
You can't prove "millions of years", and there is a ton of evidence that debunks that belief. šš
Scientists investigating collagenās survival in dinosaur fossils tested specially made molecules in the lab.
No fossil bones were examined.Ā
Their experiments showed how changes in molecular structure can make certain bonds easier to break.
Fine, but they didnāt establish that collagen can survive for millions of years.
Let's see why Dr Lucien Tuinstra argues that these findings leave the deep-time preservation problem unresolved

If I lose followers because of my stance on Halloween, well, that's too bad. I am not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, but I am truly against celebrating a day that is about worshipping trickery, evil and darkness. All Christians should be.
No one has the right to murder a child, no matter the size, level of development, or location of that child.
I have been told that celebrating Halloween is no different then celebrating Christmas. I celebrate Christmas to celebrate the birth of Christ. What does Halloween have to do with Christ? Does anything about it glorify Him? Just saying...
Remember, if you have God, you have everything. šš If not, please repent and let, him save you! You will not regret it! You need Him, trust me!
He is much more articulate and patient than me. God bless him! š
Iāve been seeing this for years:
Me: hereās an argument demonstrating that thereās a necessary being
Atheist: but that doesnāt prove the being is conscious
Me: hereās an argument demonstrating the necessary being is conscious
Atheist: but that doesnāt prove the necessary being is perfect
Me: hereās an argument demonstrating the necessary being is perfect
Atheist: but that doesnāt prove itās the God of Christianity
Me: hereās an argument demonstrating Christianity is true
Atheist: but that doesnāt prove your denomination is true
šthis is called āmoving the goalposts.ā Just because I happen to be a Christian, that doesnāt mean every single argument I make proves my entire theology. Some arguments demonstrate some things, and some arguments demonstrate other specific things.
Lawyers do the same thing. They use one argument to demonstrate motive, then they use another argument to demonstrate the suspect was able to commit the crime, then another argument for why itās likely they did commit the crime, etc.
Different arguments for different things, itās not that complicated.
Yep.
All women know when conception happens that there is a child developing in their womb. They know they have another living human being present, living, and growing in their body.
IF they choose to take action to end that life, they have the mens rea and know what their actions will result in (death of an innocent human being). They can and should be held criminally responsible for their actions.
A good educational video for those who ask about Cain's wife.

Same here. I don't just throw out my opinions without really knowing what I am talking about. Especially when it comes to God, the Bible, and being Christian. I make sure to greatly study highly contested doctrines.
