A massive thank you to Robert Nixon and Stephen Perola from the Cramlington & Wansbeck Rotary Club for presenting Heron Class with their very own dictionaries! The children will be using them in school and will get to keep them when they move on to Middle School. 📚✨
We've got exciting events next week: we'll be meeting birds from the Kielder Birds of Prey centre and a Buzzard, a Rabbit and a Porpoise will walk into our school - we will find out what happens next when @densandsignals bring their show about animals, humans and nature to us
Kingfisher class joined the Modeshift STARS regional awards and were delighted to discover that Stannington First were the Local Authority AND Regional primary school winners! Wow - keep striding, scooting and wheeling Team Stannington!

Heron class had a fantastic visit to the Great North Museum to find out about life in Ancient Eygpt. We loved the other exhibitions too!
The coffee van will be back at the village hall car park this Friday, 23rd October. Everyone is welcome!
Why not grab a coffee before or after your Stride to School.

It's International Walk to School month and we loved seeing all of those 'Funky Feet' today! Next week is 'Bring your wheels to school' week - a great opportunity for the staff to get their scooters out! 🛴🚲

Bluebell Class had a fantastic day at Rothbury First School for the Font Alliance Teddy Bear’s Picnic. We took part in a drumming workshop, created teddy bear masks and got to use their playground. We then had a well deserved ice cream and some lunch!

Our active travel mascot, Mr Prickles, enjoyed afternoon tea at the Alnwick Garden where we attended the Love Northumberland Awards. We were delighted to be nominated in the Schools Go Smarter Sustainable Travel category.
