That's another blow to Gero's Stargate chances ... #savestargate
So it looks like Amazon has given Martin Gero his consolation prize...
It's also funny how this Deadline article makes NO mention of his cancelled Stargate show, either.
Gotta keep the Amazon publicists happy, I guess.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Wow, 32 years since Stargate hit theaters! @rolandemmerich and I had no idea how far that ring would take us. To the incredible community that keeps the gate open every single day, thank you.

STARGATE FANS! Here's a question for you...
How are you feeling about the state of the franchise right now? Are you interested in Jac Schaeffer's version, or still a ride-or-die for Martin Gero's?
If Amazon gave you control of the IP, what would YOU do with it? Let us know ⤵️
