While music journalism as a whole has painfully devolved into clickbait, content and paid advertising over the last decade or so, it is very sad to see passionate, skilled writers trying to keep these outlets alive ultimately be gutted by their unqualified corporate ownership. Thank you to the talented and thoughtful minds who kept covering hardcore & independent music at @brooklynvegan, it did not go unnoticed by me or my peers.
