UPDATE: Uganda's annual headline inflation rose to 3.7% in June, driven mainly by higher fuel and transport costs, according to the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (@StatisticsUg ). The increase signals that the impact of rising fuel prices is now being felt by households, with higher transport costs feeding into the prices of goods and services. UBOS Principal Statistician Juliet Nakayenga explains what the latest inflation figures mean for households. #MonitorUpdates 📹: Rachael Nabisubi

@UBOS_ED is among the best statisticians Africa has ever produced. He earned his office on merit, not on the cheap tribal arithmetic of bitter minds. He is a Mufumbira, not a Munyankole, Uganda deserves more diligent, principled, and capable public servants of his calibre.

It is nothing but malice and mere noise aimed at tarnishing the name of the UBOS Executive Director, Dr. Chris Mukiza. As they have always tried to fight and undermine him, he continues to rise far above their schemes.
