Might be a bad take, but imo #VAR should be used for non subjective stuff only. Did ball cross line, did it hit hand etc. Not slowed down hyper focused stuff with multiple angles, replays and stills.

Feel like a ref kinds gets a feel for a tackle or a melee in the flow of the game. In that scramble there was little bits on both sides but nothing too strong, both at it so allow it. When you slow if down & only look at one incident it's devoid of what makes football what it is.

Why are people acting like Gane was piecing Aspinall up. He'd made a start on the inside leg & bust his nose but otherwise round was fairly even. Gane looked confident, but Tom landed as well & some of his strikes rocked gane back a step. He wasnt in deep waters at all. #UFC321
