In today’s pilot episode of “The Dangling Pardons” we have Pete Hegseth. PETE MAY BE HOLDING MORE CARDS THAN ANYONE REALIZES! With Thomas Massie reportedly preparing to force an impeachment vote next week, everyone is watching to see whether Hegseth resigns or fights. But consider this: Hegseth may have considerably more leverage than Trump wants him to have. He knows what happened behind closed doors. He knows what legal advice was given, who received it, who objected, and who ultimately made the decisions surrounding Iran, Venezuela/Maduro and the Caribbean boat strikes. An impeachment inquiry could expose information reaching far beyond Hegseth himself, potentially implicating decisions made by Trump, Vance, and other senior officials. 🐀 And then there’s the pardon question. If Hegseth believes he faces potential criminal exposure, why would he resign without securing protection first? In a hypothetical negotiation, he could demand a completed federal pardon rather than another promise. He also occupies a critical position in the military chain of command. A refusal to participate in further “questionable” military operations could create enormous complications for the administration, particularly if his objections became public. 🐀 Hegseth may not be fighting to keep his job. **He may be fighting to control the terms of his departure, especially when it comes to legal exposure.** And Trump faces a dilemma 😂: pardon him, refuse him, remove him, or risk a congressional proceeding that could reveal considerably more than anyone anticipated. Very soon one camp will likely make a move. The question isn’t simply whether Hegseth survives impeachment. It’s who actually holds the leverage AND what happens when they decide to use it! This could get very interesting.
