Okay then what? The vote get split between ANC, DA, MK and some other party and we end up exactly where we are now🤣🤣
We need 4 political parties maximum in South Africa, the nonsense must stop.

Having spent the last few months campaigning in townships, it’s literally just that people don’t see the point in voting. They are despondent about the state of affairs and until their material conditions change, we’re going to experience an even further decline in turnout.
Replying to @baddaysareover
AND it seems like voter turnout was low in townships as well. The reality is that we need to get our people to care about voting & maybe do better to understand why they’re not voting. Is transportation an issue? Are people not getting time off from work?

More concerned it'll be 5 years of power struggles because HZ is hard to work with.
Johannesburg ? Oh sweetie say goodbye to affordable rent & properties 😭👍🏾

Look they ran Joburg before.. but I don't know how much they can actually fix because every SOE and SOC in Joburg is a disaster. Like Joburg needs what Durban had. A nationally driven renewal.
You guys have never been to Cape Town and it shows… because DA????? 🤯. Like how?

Rent will stay stable. There's no foreigners buying in dollars to drive up property prices. It's rates and taxes, electricity tariffs that will sky rocket.
enjoy your affordable apartment while it lasts, johannesburg, because rent is about to be 15K for a one bedroom!!!!

Cape Town voters are "big big dreamers".. Dreaming the DA will turn their area into Seapoint or that one day they'll make enough money to escape and live on the other side of the tracks.
The vast majority of Cape Town has not been counted yet, but are we not angry enough at the DA that they could be this much ahead and we barely got to the affluent suburbs yet?

Of course... Free Palestine in the streets. DA in the booths.
So the anti-Zionist movement in Cape Town is deeply concerning me. There were thousands saying in unison we are for Palestine. Clearly that was a lie because they voted for a party that can’t say the word genocide.

You'll find they already live in DA ward and don't know 🤣🤣🤣🤣
There is a report here that stated 60 or so percent of DA voters are black, its nolonger about skin color at this point, another poll indicated 80% of black voters believe their suburb would improve under DA

Apartheid lives in people's minds unfortunately.
Early days. It seems as the status quo in Cape Town will sadly remain.

Corporate funders don't believe in expropriation
Why every political party is against the EFF?what is it that they are scared of ? Everyone is decampaigning the EFF even the newly formed parties are in it just to fight the EFF.

They did and they're going to find out quickly they're not rich enough to buy what she's selling.
White people make up approximately 7.1% to 7.3% of South Africa's total population okes. I’m so sorry but our brothers and sisters DID in fact vote for that aunty. 😭

Not enough room in Joburg for both of their egos.
Mmusi Maimane could've formed a formidable party with Herman Mashaba.

They're polar opposite parties. Why would you expect market capitalists with zionist funding to be aligned to marxist socialists? Our voter base truly vote on vibes.
ActionSA is who we wanted EFF to be for SA but fumbled ke. 🫰🏽💚💚💚💚

The votes are concentrated between ANC, MK and EFF.. The DA aren't ascending to power 🤣. They've been strong in Joburg for a decade or more.
Another problem is that our votes are divided into 500+ various parties… so how can the DA and FF+ not ascend to power? Haike.

If they genuinely lost votes because people don't understand their border policy isn't open borders then many of their supporters had no idea what the party stood for.
With the results trickling in, I hope the EFF takes a step back and does some serious introspection. I love the EFF and have voted for them in every election until yesterday. Sometimes lessons need to be learnt. South Africans want to feel prioritised. It’s really that simple.

They've lost faith. They've been surveyed. They don't believe voting works because politicians aren't interested in doing their jobs.
Today has made me realize that our youth is progressive in theory, not reality. So many people did not vote.

We need better general education at this stage because South Africans are so easy to scam and con man. They really ate up HZ's "I'll make Joburg like Cape Town" and thought she meant smooth roads and not unaffordable rent.
We need better voter education for the next elections.

🤣 Don't underestimate MK.. South Africans are crazy.
Johannesburg Prediction: ActionSA - 21% ANC – 27% DA – 30% EFF – 8% MK - 7%
