ALEKSANDAR VUČIĆ CONCEDES DEFEAT.
Aleksandar Vučić said the Student List had won the most seats in the election, based on a stratified sample.
“We don’t have the results. Many people will be surprised, and you will realise just how much some people have lied. Based on a stratified sample, it is clear that we have lost this election,” Vučić said.

Wow! This will be bigger than during Milosevic’s regime overthrow

A Serbian woman living in Switzerland describes her experience today at the Serbian consulate in Zurich:
“We’ve finally managed to cast our votes. After 7.5 hours. The queue is much shorter now, mind you, but still long enough. Phew, what a day!”

Over the past few days, I have held talks with the leaders of several Balkan countries, and today an important election is taking place in Serbia. It reminded me of how, as a child, I often went with my parents to the Serbian Restaurant, which has since closed down.
Fortunately, you can still find great ćevapi in plenty of places, whether Sarajevo-style or Serbian-style.

Voters were seen photographing ballot papers at 25% of polling stations nationwide by noon, while such incidents were recorded at around half of polling stations in Belgrade and one in three in Vojvodina, the CRTA election observation mission announced at its press conference.
They noted that the number of affected polling stations is continuing to rise.
CRTA also reported ballot stuffing at two polling stations, in Žabalj and Sjenica. Its legal team had contacted the police over suspected vote buying and “carousel voting” in Novi Sad, involving a voter bringing in a completed ballot and taking out a blank one. The mission said it had received no information about the police response by the time of the press conference.

For Brussels and Berlin, Sunday’s elections in Serbia could be a rude awakening. For too long, Aleksandar Vučić and his SNS party have been supported as a supposed stabilizing force. My analysis for @TableBriefings table.media/europe/analyse/e…
On Sunday evening or in the days that follow, the EU will have to show their true colors quickly. If Brussels and Berlin wish to continue supporting Vučić, who is unlikely to accept an election defeat or is likely to use every trick in the book to delay the final result...

The upcoming Sunday election in Serbia has gifted Balkan watchers many gems so far, but few things beat a multinational choir from Utrecht singing Bajaga's "Pada vlada" — aka "The Government Is Falling" — with such gusto and panache.
