WATCH: Kansas Senate candidate Adam Hamilton just admitted on CNN that when teenage boys reported being molested by a volunteer at his Church of the Resurrection camp in 2005, they “absolutely” should have called the police immediately.
They didn’t.
Instead, Hamilton’s church ran an in-house investigation with people who weren’t trained investigators. The predator was allowed back the next year as a camp counselor. More allegations followed before law enforcement was finally brought in.
At the time, Hamilton was building what became the largest United Methodist church in America. Reputation, growth, and the image of the rising megachurch were on the line. Calling the police the first time wasn’t the policy. Protecting the institution came first.

However, state law 13 CSR 35-31.025 reads, "the Out-of-Home Investigation Unit is mandated to investigate or assess allegations of child abuse or neglect when the alleged perpetrator is an employee, contracted agent, or volunteer at a youth camp."

2005 - A pedophile camp leader molested two boys. Distraught parents of the victims came to Hamilton for help.
*Hamilton nor his church called the police*
The victims parents were never contacted again.
2006 - Hamilton allowed the child predator BACK to camp, where he was again caught trying to molest another boy.

She states, "These employees were offered a choice of exit packages. One being substantially more money if they agreed to a non disclosure agreement to prohibit them from sharing their experience. So a pastor that preaches queer theology and a gay gospel is found to have covered up a case of child molestation in 2005. Hoping it goes unnoticed and allowing the offender to again volunteer in the SAME role the next year, he only finally reports it once it does happen again in 2006.
This is the danger of churches in support of LGBTQ+ agendas. The + literally includes people who are now referred to as “minor attracted persons”. This is not a mental illness to the alphabet mafia, but instead an innate sexual identity just as valid as gay, lesbian or trans.
