it's cool how Sigourney Weaver's character starts the movie saying "it's about preventing another war" and ends the movie bombing Nal Hutta, a foreign sovereign power

I saw a play on Broadway last year and couldn't believe how annoyingly boisterous the crowd were! It made me wonder whether American actors come to the West End and assume everyone here hates them.
“The Pitt” star Isa Briones took to social media to call out fans who scream at her during her Broadway show: “Once again, Broadway is not a circus. Do not yell whatever you want at the performers. Yelling ‘when are you going to finish your charts’ before I sing ‘Who’s Sorry Now?’ is f---ing disrespectful to the performers onstage and your fellow audience members. Y’all are pissin’ me off.” variety.com/2026/tv/news/the…

Found the ending of The Pitt S2 exquisitely moving. I was particularly struck by its parallels to 2025’s Sorry, Baby – a cathartic rebirth from trauma through a child, a proxy for finally viewing yourself with kindness and compassion.

I think I would rather watch my own death than watch that Harry Potter TV show.

Enjoying #SNLUK so far. Sketch comedy is ludicrously difficult to pull off but there's a breezy quality to the filmed sketches and the ramshackle live studio stuff is endearing. Lots of teething issues obv but that's to be expected. Promising!

Hard to overstate how sophisticated, monumental and resonant this week’s Andor is. Two of the greatest episodes of television ever made. It is a miracle it exists.

Also I’ve watched the entirety of Andor season two and it is astonishing. Not only the best Star Wars since The Empire Strikes Back, but the most sophisticated science fiction TV since Deep Space Nine.

The world is being stripped for parts by the meanest, greediest, most depraved people alive. They know the price of everything and the value of nothing. It is so fucking bleak.
