“Inner Light” (S5:E25) was one of the most profoundly beautiful ST: Next Gen episodes. Stewart shines bright. Watch it if you can. 💫👁️🎬

RIP Patrick Stewart. What an actor. I still can’t believe he agreed to do this scene. And he didn’t even mind when I ruined every take. Legend.

Why God? There's another man in his 80s you could have taken instead.

[Violence against women is the] "single greatest human rights violation of our generation." "I do what I do in my mother's name, because I couldn't help her then. Now I can." -Sir Patrick Stewart

Not only was he a great actor he was a progressive activist who supported LGBTQ rights, universal healthcare, destigmatizing mental health issues, and was fiercely opposed to nationalism. He truly lived the ideals of Star Trek.
Patrick Stewart has sadly passed away at the age of 86.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of the magnificent Sir Patrick Stewart, aged 86. With a distinguished Shakespearean career and beloved by audiences of all ages for his many unforgettable roles, he was one of Britain’s finest and most commanding actors. We have had the pleasure of showing Tobe Hooper’s Lifeforce (1985), featuring Sir Patrick in one of his many memorable screen appearances. A remarkable talent whose work will continue to be enjoyed for generations. He will be greatly missed.

Patrick was one of those icons who we somehow all took for granted would always be with us. I grew up as a fan, and was later gifted the privilege of becoming a colleague and friend, working with him for many years on “American Dad!”, “Family Guy”, and “Ted”. He was that rare actor who could take any bit of dialogue and elevate it, making a good writer sound great, and a great writer sound masterful. He was also as humble as they come. I remember exchanging emails with him a number of years ago when he was beginning day 1 of a new film. He commented to me that he always walked onto a new set feeling like the biggest novice there. My stunned reaction was the same as anyone’s would be. I said, “Patrick, if you feel that way, the rest of us are screwed.” We have lost a legendary actor today, and for many of us, a good friend. He will be deeply missed by the entire planet.

Parliament’s watchdog has found that Richard Tice breached the Code of Conduct on six counts following his trip to Israel. The rules require MPs to declare relevant interests when speaking in parliamentary proceedings. He should have declared that his visit to Israel was paid for by Reform Friends of Israel during a debate on “pro-Israel influence on UK politics and democracy.”

No I didn’t say that. He grabbed me and shoved me out of the way - I think a colleague said I was sent flying but I wasn’t. It all happened before this clip

Just a reminder that if you are wearing poppy badges, suits, socks or even knickers that are not sold by the RBL you are not supporting ex service personnel or being a patriot, you are indulging in performative bullshit. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Renationalise all of them, mostly without any compensation. Starting with the water companies. And prosecute the directors where possible.
