Why is $NET always expensive? See exponential growth of comparable AWS. Apply AWS' 2015-2025 growth rates starting in '28 after NET’s $5b revenue guide. AWS grew 59% CAGR in 5y - $8B to $45B. 29% CAGR over 10y to $130B. Smaller, earlier Cloud market then. AWS=green line. 🤔YMMV

Best Cloudflare Developer Services pitch I've seen. 11 minutes. Summary at 8:14 but worth listening all the way through. Audio is enough. youtu.be/DJtOn_Vt1uw?feature…

Kaboom! Building the 1st 2nd generation cloud @Cloudflare $NET? Containers massively expands TAM. "Can we build it in a way that lets developers focus on building and shipping, rather than managing infrastructure?" blog.cloudflare.com/containe…

"If we thread the needle between moderate [AI] impact and asteroid-wiping-out-the-dinosaurs impact, everything will be changed forever and your tepid preparations will have all the impact of an ant bracing itself very hard in the shadow of a towering tsunami.

OMG priceless and hilarious. Stop scrolling. Actually read it in full ludic.mataroa.blog/blog/i-wi… "the next person to talk about rolling out AI is going to receive a complimentary chiropractic adjustment i.e, I am going to fucking break your neck. I am truly, deeply, sorry."

"But most companies can't do this, because they are operationally and culturally crippled. The median stay for an engineer will be something between one to two years, so the organization suffers from institutional retrograde amnesia."

"Whenever there is a ransomware attack, it is revealed with clockwork precision that no one has tested the backups for six months and half the legacy systems cannot be resuscitated - something that I have personally seen twice in 4 fucking years. Do you know how insane that is

Takes from sw2 conference. 1. AI still dangerous in enterprise context. 2. Hardware is back 3. Those hardware changes could spark an earthquake in the infrastructure software side - networking, operating systems. etc... Paper below seems relevant science.org/doi/epdf/10.1126…

Huge fiscal deficits are entirely the private sectors choosing. By running a surplus and choosing saving over consumption or investment, the private sector has forced the hand of government to run a deficit. If it doesn't, painful below trend growth is a certainty. 1/

Imagine looking at $100B worth of railways built at the dawn of the Industrial Revolution and seeing a "hole" instead of an opportunity.
Since starting at @sequoia, I've been reflecting on the massive CapEx buildout in AI. For today's GPUs to payback, $200B of revenue will need to be generated per year of CapEx. Long-term, this is good for startups. Short-term, it could get messy. bit.ly/3RotkBH
