Today the Minister for Victims and Community Safety met with the @slcccomplaints and its Consumer Panel to mark a change that expands the Panel’s remit giving consumers a stronger voice in how legal services are regulated in Scotland. The new legislation takes effect 1 July 2026.

ALT The image shows four people (one man and three women ) standing in front of an image of the Forth Rail Bridge at sunset and smiling at the camera. From left to right is Vicky Crichton, SLCC Director of Public Policy (wearing an orange top). Neil Stevenson, SLCC Chief Executive (wearing a blue blazer, pink shirt and beige trousers). Ms Brown, Victims and Community Safety (wearing a black suit and dark green high-necked blouse). And finally, Jane Malcolm, SLCC Chair (wearing a black blazer, white shirt and grey straight skirt).
