A 9.5/10. The docked .5? Horses. They follow you when you don't want them to follow; they wander away in the opposite direction when you want them to come to you. Set up a bait trap for, say, wolves, and horsey wanders into your killing ground and gets killed dead eye.

I wonder why they set Red Dead Redemption so late? If Marston and characters of a similar age lived to be codgers they'd see Beatlemania arrive.

I struggle with closeness of Wild West to modern history, So Red Dead Redemption is set three years before WW1 and five years before the Somme. Age of cinema (silents), cars (Ford Model T: 1908) and early flight. Hobbs was batting for England whilst Marston was gunslinging.

I mean The Good, the Bad and the Ugly was set 'during' ACW and The Searchers in the immediate aftermath, so c. 1865 for both. From 1865 to 1911 is a spell of nearly fifty years. Fifty years seperate us from flairs and Led Zeppelin.

Is there somone greater than Peter Hitchens in feeling need to talk about a great many subjects and wrong in (virtually) all. He is wrong about alcoholism. He is wrong about WW2. He is very much wrong about WW1. He is however somewhat correct on Henry VIII and Catholicism.

Hitchens methodology, 1/ Pick a random subject, be it WW1, cannabis or cycling. 2/ Espouse most eccentric positioning on said subject. A position unfathomably contrary. 3/ Wait for internet pile on, and assume defence of polite wounded dignity Rinse and repeat

Watchmen is impossibly good. A masterpiece.

Moore is the very definition of a weirdo beardo. Paganist, Crowley etc. He was married and had a third female in a sort of polygamous trio. Then his wife became a lezza and fucked off with the woman haha. He has lived his entire life in a Northampton terraced house.

A bit Corbyny politically, albeit from an anarchist position. He basically has refused millions as he does not want his name on any of these film adaptations.

Lone Wolf Samurai Manga meets sci fi dystopia. To use the American expression, bad ass. They do not produce stuff like this anymore. Miller's first creater-run title,

I mean Napoleon is being depicted as the "far right antidote to the riots". He wad certainly authoritarian but his meritocratic monarchy does not quite fit the 20th c pattern. The far right then were legitimists: Catholic Vendee, etc.

@ThatchGer1 Are you a fan of Alan Moore?
