Happy to share that Stimuler has now crossed $5Mn ( as well as ₹50 crore) ARR in Aug. We crossed $1Mn in June last year. In this period, we doubled our performance ROAS, improved overall CAC and D30 retention doubled too, in all target geos.
Here is everything that has worked for us across product and growth in the last 14 months.
(While these are specific to Stimuler, i believe most of these would be relevant to most consumer products, esp those with global ambitions)
Growth
> For 0 to $1Mn ARR, performance marketing for us was highly unprofitable and in a way, subsidized by our organic growth, but if we had to continue to grow, performance needed to become self sustainable. That became one of our priority targets.
> W0 ROAS in all performance channels became our north star rather than chasing multiple metrics. We added a new channel (tiktok ads) and invested significantly in building systems around creatives in all our target geos (having a network of creators, diversity in scripts, twice a week iteration frequency & more). Allocation between creatives as well as channels became much more methodical based on north star optimization
> As a result, W0 ROAS for us moved from 44% in Oct’25 to 89% in Aug’26 which translates to near 100% Gross recovery by M0 itself, an early target we had set for ourselves. Still a lot of room here.
> For organic, the journey was again to translate early wins into a much more scalable and replicable (across geos) playbook, with specific systems around hiring, training creators, script writing, format iterations, and more. We started with a good presence in LATAM, but we were able to replicate into Indonesia last year, making it our single biggest geography. Earlier this year, we were able to replicate this into India, and we always keep experimenting to win new geographies as well.
> Being able to replicate the organic playbook in multiple geographies has been the major reason why our blended CAC has stayed consistent (& in fact dropped, to be specific) despite scaling 5x in the last 14 months. As a result, there are now 4 countries where we have crossed $500k ARR, and all of them have grown at least 3x year on year, which are very rare numbers for a company at our stage.
Now that we have a huge number of users coming in (>1Mn new app installs every month), making them stay while having an amazing experience becomes the obvious focus, bringing me to product :)
Product
> After we crossed $1Mn ARR last year, the overall team decided to make retention our P0 across the product because our numbers were very far from how the best companies in the world were doing.
> The approach here was very simple. We divided retention into three separate problem statements:
Early stages: D1 to D30
Mid-stage: M1 to M6
Late stages: M6 to Y1, Y2, and beyond
> There was another choice to make in terms of geography because solving retention across separate geographies had certain differences. We started with Indonesia first here as it was the biggest geo by user-size and hence, allowed faster iterations on experiments in terms of statistical significance. This involved a lot of changes in showing progress early to users in their journey, improving the core product engines via breakthroughs from our AI team (more on this in another post), localization and more.
> Once we started seeing the results in Indonesia, we then started replicating the same efforts in LATAM and, to a certain extent, in India. The results show this story well
In last 12 months,
Indonesia : D7 went from 23.5% to 31.6% , D30 went from 5.9% to 12.6%
Latam: D7 went from 21.1% to 31.1% , D30 went from 5.1% to 14.2%
India (our most recent market): D7 went from 15.9% to 22.1% , D30 went from 3.8% to 8.7%
> Parallely, we started now focusing on midterm retention in Indonesia, which involved going much deeper into user-level personalization, reducing friction across user interactions with the app, and novelty at an experience level. Of course, the core product thesis, which is the ability to show users how much they have moved in their fluency journey forward, remains the core loop to bring people back.
As a result, Indonesia M3 (usage) went from 20.6% to 40%+
M6 also has now touched a peak of 28-29%
> The road from here is to translate these midterm gains into longer-term results in year 1 retention (targeting 30% Y1) and beyond, while also solving the midterm retention in Latin America and then India.

At @StimulerApp, our thesis is that English Fluency is an incredible income mobility lever in emerging economies across the world (India, SEA, Latam, Mena etc). And that we can build a voice AI product for these 1.5Bn English learners globally, right here from India- a product that can take them to a stage where they can actually communicate confidently, not just learn basic words. We're at 1% today relative to that number
We started the company right out of our college, went full time in 2023 after graduation and its been an amazing 3 years of super-accelarated learning trajectory, building a consumer AI product with everything happening around us. Been highly privileged to work with an insane talent-dense team which deserves credit for everything we wrote above.
Ofc we are very very early in the path to $100Mn ARR and then much beyond that in the next 3-4 years.
See you all next in the $10Mn ARR post!

Sharing a few highlights from our 2yrs & 9 months monetization journey at @StimulerApp👇
🗓️Jan 1, 2024- Launch of full monetization
>> Closed 2024 at ₹4.4 Cr ARR.
Getting there from 0 revenue meant figuring out the entire payment stack from a global lens(channel, attribution & more), rebuilding the product from a freemium lens, setting up the infra from a daily experimentation pov. The last point probably caused the most delta, as we did over 100 experiments in the year across free-to-paid, activation and more. Biggest needle mover : an activation rebuild that 2x'd our install to activation rate across geographies, improving the whole funnel.
>> Closed 2025 at ₹19.5Cr, a 4x+ increase from last year.
This was our first stint with scaling & we faced a lot of fundamental challenges. Certain geos like India we were just not able to breakthrough despite multiple attempts, our paid marketing was still some steps away from sustainability and we had to improve our underlying metrics like free to paid or retention metrics while the denominator (user-sign ups) was growing rapidly every month. Very difficult to pick a single event here but our organic tiktok breakthrough across both Indonesia and Latam helped us scale without destroying the economics behind it.
>> And now as of 15th Oct 2026, with 77 days left for the year to end, we're at ~₹54Cr, and hopefully will close atleast 3x+ from last year.
This has genuinely been the most challenging of the 3 years personally. And the only reason we have been able to grow 3x+ would be because of every single team (product/dev/ai/growth) really meeting the ambitious expectations such growth brings.
Few of our biggest wins would be successfully executing phase 1 of our multi-geo playbook across organic & paid marketing(4 countries over >$500k ARR), building our own voice AI stack across speech understanding as well as assessments, hitting our best ever free-to-paid despite significantly increased scale AND parallely, doubling all our early retention metrics (D1,D7,D30) across all our most important geos.
And something tells me the road from here to 150Cr-200Cr would be something else entirely because all our systems are forced to not just scale beyond the early user cohort to mainstream population (a phase that differentiates good apps from market leaders), but do that while meeting the current user's expectations.
And we’ll need to hire some exceptional people along the way, which is often one of the most rewarding but also most difficult parts of the journey.
But as always, the more challenging it is - the more fun it is to try solving it & won't exchange this phase with anything else. Especially, given we're priveleged to be doing this alongside one of the highest talent-dense teams in India - less than 20 folks today btw :)
Ready for the next leg!!

Tl;dr - Hiring for someone to Own and Build @StimulerApp 's global paid ads program to grow 10x in the next 2 years
Bengaluru based Core team role, directly working with me, 16-30LPA base salary (slightly negotiable) + top ESOPs
Q1. What do I mean by building our ads program?
We at Stimuler already spend $300k/mo in paid today across 3 continents but am 100% confident that we can do MUCH better both in scale & unit economics. And ofc we believe that 100mn+ non-native ppl globally deserve to have a product like Stimuler reach them
Your goal would be to come in, own the current process and rebuild it to help us scale to $3Mn/mo profitable spending in the next 2 yrs and much beyond. How to do it? Learn from the best cos in the world (like the quoted video) & then, just execute- in 2026, imo, it's definitely doable w/ the right person & their agents :)
Q2. Why does this role matter?
We have a very strong organic presence globally (150Mn+ views/mo). But in order to become a global market leader, that needs to be complemented with a best-in-the-world paid marketing system which we have taken the early steps for. So you (+ your work here)'d have a big role to play in where Stimuler ends up as a co in the next few years
Q3. How do we operate?
Lean team with max ownership per person; Come in, own the system & the channel as a whole, hire people (or AI agents :p) if you really need. We are a global company from India (80% rev outside 🇮🇳), doing >$6Mn Annual Rev with a <20 ppl team, so rest assured you'd work with some of the best marketers, techies & product folks in the country! My personal ambition would be for you to become a top 1% performance marketer GLOBALLY in the process.
Q4. What am I looking for?
First of all, great content sense. Then show that you have done some challenging & important work in this space before, with top tier results to share. And tell why this is something interesting enough for you to spend the next few years of your life at.
If you have something exceptional about you outside work, plz do tell that as well (music/arts/sports)
Write to me at [email protected] with a note & I will take it from there
(Referral is back for this role- If you refer someone we end up working together with, you get ₹1L as a cash bonus. Just as a small thank you note)
Please do forward this to the BEST Paid Marketers you know of. Can't wait to hear from you all!

Tl;dr - Am hiring for one ambitious & high-energy generalist to work directly and super-closely with me over the next few years at @StimulerApp - as a Founders Office (Full time, 1-3 YOE) from our Bengaluru office
Comp : 15-18LPA Fixed + significant esops on top + benefits (lunch, insurance etc)
I personally believe that this is a unique & fast track opportunity- you'd essentially be owning a lot of non-product functions in the company (ex- finance/investor comms/ user & people ops etc )and get a front-seat understanding of how a biz is built from the grounds up. Just to clarify though- This is not a strategy role (just like every role at Stimuler), rather a 100% hands-on execution role.
Long-shot but if things do go well in the coming years ( 🤞), your next step can be either starting a co/taking a leadership role here because of the execution context and learning you'd have built.
Here're my 4 base expectations from anyone joining in
1) Care & ownership for whatever work you're entrusted with. You'd be representing the company internally and externally across functions, which makes it important that everything that has your name on it should be done at good quality standards, not just doing it for the sake of it.
2) Close the loop, Always. Take things from initiation to “this is done,” including the follow-ups along the way reliably: this is P0 for the role.
3) Be ready to learn completely new things and implement them on the go.
4) You should be great at context-switching, it's kinda a feature of the role
Stimuler is at quite a unique point today- we are global, have some initital traction ($5Mn+ ARR, 4x yoy), a very high talent density team and yet, probably <1% of the way there in building one of the biggest consumer AI cos globally . The next couple of years are gonna be quite wavy and so, for you, i can definitely promise a fast paced learning trajectory.
So, how am I going to be evaluating people for the role?
> Any evidence of exceptional performance in arts/sports/music/academics/work (like top 0.1-1%)
> Evidence of complete ownership in past projects (bonus if it was a complex project)
> Signals that you can pick up new things and just excel at them (very imp)
> Signals that you can juggle between multiple things
ps: If there's someone with a previous background/education in finance or accounting - that's a bonus (not mandatory though).
If you think the description sounds exactly like something you want to be a part of (you can also check our journey so far in my recent LinkedIn posts), create a quick video/thoughtful text note about why exactly we should talk and send over to [email protected] .
If you know anyone else who is extremely high energy & would love being part of this 1-100 journey, please tag them across / forward this post to them. This is one of the most important roles am hiring for, so v excited :)
Thank you so much

Great to see @StimulerApp from the @opsstudiovc family pulling off a parallel multi-geo consumer/prosumer growth engine that I have rarely seen before.
This is also providing more evidence for the India-to-the-world Consumer-tech and Fintech thesis I have been investing behind.
The likes of @StimulerApp, @skydo_official and Rovia are creating new playbooks in how Indian startups should think and execute on the global stage.
At @StimulerApp , we are one of the rare companies GLOBALLY able to run a true multi-geo playbook
We have now scaled to >$500k ARR in 4 different countries now - Indonesia, India, USA and Mexico. And am confident we will touch $1Mn in all 4 soon :)
And it gets better

Hi Twitter people, hiring one 6 month intern (content/creative strategist) to write killer ads for us as a part of our early growth team at @StimulerApp , which is now 6 folks incl. me. Please help it reach the right audience :)
> 50k/mo stipend
> in-person, bengaluru
> Work very closely with Shreeya (our founding marketer) and me
Our team size means you'd work with the smarest people you've met and take full ownership of a core part of biz from Day 0. And the biz is at a very exciting phase : 300k Paid users, >40Cr INR ARR growing 4x+ yoy, 90% outside India
You'd be mostly writing high-performing ads for our India and global user-base (12Cr monthly impressions on our ads), and building systems around it. Need someone who is a natural at content, and has evidence for it (past content experience/ own channel)
Bonus if you are exceptional (top 1%) in any field - music/sports/acads/art/work

Review sentiment score on Appfigures in last 30 days:
@StimulerApp : 97% positive, 3% negative (Based on 30K new user ratings)
Compared to top global players (by revenue, funding) in the AI fluency space
> Speak .com : 95% positive (13k new user ratings)
> Praktika: 74% positive ( 29k new user ratings)
> Learna : 88% positive (130k new ratings)
> Loora : 95% positive (7k new ratings)
> Elsa : 78% positive (11k new user ratings)
While I of course want to make sure that Stimuler, in the next few years, is #1 globally in terms of scale of user base and revenue as well, a parallel and arguably bigger priority for us is to make sure that we are #1 in terms of customer love. And we do have a good base for that..
And honestly, there is just so much for us to solve here in terms of elevating our support experience, in terms of getting to a zero-bug state, launching more features requested by users and more. On bugs, we have made significant leaps through our new backend architecture. Support, in my opinion remains the one with the highest delta possible wrt current experience and one of our priorities in the coming few months.
We are running a poc for support as we speak that'd hopefully move things meaningfully- will update on how it goes!
