Good luck to everyone playing in the SGC Gents Club Championship today. If the golf matches the weather we are in for a great day !🏌️⛳️

We are pleased to report there has been a change in the guidance issued by Government regarding the recommencement of golf, you can now play with another person who is outside your household. BRS is open now.

Following the recent Government announcement the Stocksfield Golf course will re-open on Wednesday 13th May. Play is restricted to members household groupings. Further information can be found by following this link: stocksfieldgolfclub.co.uk/…/restarting-playing…/

Great to see the 150 Yd markers have been re-measured, now to the centre instead of the front. The picture shows the new 150 Yd marker on the 8th. A big thanks to James Cram on re-measuring these and on Bill Martin for cutting out the holes for the fairway markers.

Mick and his team are doing an excellent job of keeping our course looking good and working to ensure it is ready to play as soon as we get the go ahead from Boris. Hopefully (fingers crossed) this might be sooner than we think, even if it is only social golf.

The daunting 7th green. A two tier elevated green with a severe drop off, surrounded by trouble, makes it one of the most challenging approach shots on the course. Miss the green and double bogey or even worse awaits 😢😢😢 #theplateau #stockersGC
