What garbage. Troiano here is part of a massive dark money operation. Fun to watch him scramble to defend Peltola’s corruption.
Both parties engage in election gamesmanship -- including backing fringe candidates in the other party's primary and running spoilers in general elections.
The only difference in Alaska is that its election system make these tactics much less effective: four candidates advance from the primary, and voters can rank their preferences in the general. In addition, the true source of political spending must be publicly disclosed.
It's another reason why party insiders are trying (again) to repeal this system in Alaska, and why both parties have opposed it in other states. It's good for voters!

What’s happening in Alaska is exactly why ranked-choice voting is a disaster.
Democrats recruited a phony Dan Sullivan to sow confusion and siphon votes from the real one. That kind of ballot manipulation only works because of ranked-choice voting. Without it, a same-name spoiler couldn’t scramble the results the same way.
That’s why Congressman Hamadeh introduced the Preventing Ranked Choice Corruption Act with @RepNickBegich to ban this scheme in all federal elections.
