EVs beat gas cars on convenience EVs beat gas cars on maintenance EVs beat gas cars on acceleration EVs beat gas cars on noise EVs will beat gas cars on price soon We don’t need moral scolding or massive subsidies anymore — EVs are simply a superior product on most dimensions.

Good morning with good news: Skyrocketing wind & solar are now generating more electricity than gas in UK. W&S generated 54 TWh, compared to 40 TWh for gas, from January to July 2024! UK has also nearly ended coal. In the UK, first coal; now gas! Credit @janrosenow

This week the UK reached 30GW of combined offshore and onshore wind energy, and we're talking turbines! 🌬 It took 26 years to install the first 15GW of wind energy in the UK, and we've managed to double that to 30GW in just seven years, all thanks to turbines improving significantly, both in terms of generative power and efficiency. 📈 For the first 15.1GW of wind, prior to March 2017, 8,347 turbines were required. However, from 15.1GW to 30GW in 2024, it only took 3,495 turbines - less than half!😲 Find out more about the #WindsOfChange and this remarkable achievement for the UK's #renewableenergy industry: renewableuk.com/news/680888/…
