Mother has been transferred to step down! She is fully aware and is having full-blown conversations. There is still a bit of trouble in finding some words but she told me that she knows it will take some time.
I still don’t have the MRI results (typical,) but her oxygen is steady at 99-100%.
At 82 with a hemorrhagic stroke and pneumonia, this is amazing!
The last 24 hours have been….
Eventful
Mother suffered a hemorrhagic stroke deep in her lower left brain.
While being scanned, the found metastasized pneumonia in her lower left lung. She had a platelet transfusion to flush the baby aspirin from her system and allow the blood to clot and intravenous antibiotics, oxygen and mucosal medication in the ICU. She is responded GREAT to treatment and is expected to recover.
