Low level air defence - highly dangerous sport - or in modern speak high octane high adrenaline- we had pretty strict rules about bank angles and nose below the horizon - never really scared myself at low altitude I think the adrenaline kept me safe

Tapered thread on the sump plug (i spent 3 years doing hydraulic plant fitting / repair) this probably was fitted when the sump was still hot and as it cooled down the contraction caused it to crack ! Always let a bike with a tapered thread sump plug fully cool before refitting !

The idiot that assembled it missed the spacer between the wheel and the swingarm. Fatal Mechanical Work 🔧 Note the two washers on the spindle, the mechanic knew something was wrong during assembly. A high street workshop too. Who did the road test?

We've just been to the supermarket, it's 3/4 mile away, I've been out an hour and covered a out 20 miles. It's a lovely old thing, kept up with the traffic along the new road. Also pottered down the single lane tracks.
