The Washington Wizards are promoting Amber Nichols to Vice President of Basketball Operations and Personnel, league sources told @hoopshype. Nichols was previously Washington’s Director of Amateur Evaluation. Prior, she was General Manager of the Capital City Go-Go G League team.

Team chemistry is built through shared work, shared standards, and time spent together. That is what stood out for the @WashWizards in Las Vegas during @NBASummerLeague. The entire team came together early, invested real offseason time in one another, and continued building the trust and connection that will matter when training camp begins. The entire roster's level of commitment reflects the culture and identity we're creating at @MSE. Great behind-the-scenes story from @JoshuaBRobbins in @TheAthletic: nytimes.com/athletic/7443300…
