NEW: Duke Energy tells me there is no imminent threat to the power grid. The text was apparently part of “an educational program.”
Statement:
This is part of an educational program to help customers be aware of their energy use on days when there is higher than usual demand for electricity. The goal is to help them be as mindful as possible of their energy usage on cold days.
There is no imminent threat to the grid, but we will be doing our part during cold weather to help manage energy across the grid, and hope our customers will also engage with us to do the same.

Streamer Natalie Reynolds got ambushed by POLICE after doing a kidnapping prank.. 😳 ‼️
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
As is often the case with this type of content, this video is a fake. The ‘officer’ can be seen handeling alone and approaches the situation in an unsafe manner. Affirming this is the fact that the officer is not wearing correct uniform and is holding his weapon wrong. dcaf.ch/sites/default/…
Kick has some of the toxic irl steamers out there. One irl streamer did a prank on kidnapping a child? Some of these streamers need to be stopped.
