OpenAI is reportedly closing in on a funding round of up to $30B at a $1.25T valuation before the new money is counted. UAE investors and Coatue are expected to lead the round, which could serve as a bridge to a potential 2027 IPO. OpenAI is also negotiating a UAE deal to secure more computing capacity. The round is still being finalized. At this scale, raising capital and securing compute are becoming part of the same strategy.

Tesla just crossed a line it’s never crossed before. $TSLA has started producing Optimus robots on high volume lines at Fremont, and says these are the first production quality bots it has ever built. Tesla also says it has proven the manufacturing process is good enough for a commercial product, with hardware and process improvements still to come. A second Optimus factory is already going up in Texas. Humanoid robots just went from demo reel to assembly line.
