Abuk Machar Tong, a South Sudanese Christian woman, has been freed after 28 years of slavery in Sudan.
Abuk, 40, was captured by an Islamist militia in 1998 during Sudan’s civil war. She is one of more than 160,000 people Christian Solidarity International has helped free from slavery in Sudan.
We give thanks that Abuk is free, and pray for all those South Sudanese still held captive in Sudan.
