It sucks that EA shutdown BioWare, especially when they produced beloved games like Baldur's Gate and Mass Effect series. I support the devs trying to keep this project alive. #SaveMassEffect - Sign the Petition! c.org/hDg47DD4XG

🚨 A WAVE OF ARRESTS AND INDICTMENTS OF ELECTED OFFICIALS — IS A NATIONWIDE CRACKDOWN UNDERWAY? In just the last 90 days, we’ve identified at least 9 current or former public officials across 7 states facing criminal charges or newly unsealed indictments. And look at the timing: 🔴 OCT 22 — VIRGINIA: State Sen. Louise Lucas (D), one of Virginia’s most powerful lawmakers, federally indicted on allegations involving marijuana trafficking, racketeering, money laundering and corruption. 🔴 OCT 21 — FLORIDA: Kissimmee Mayor Jackie Espinosa arrested on grand theft and fraud charges involving COVID-era grants. 🔴 OCT 6 — CONNECTICUT: Former State Sen. Dennis Bradley charged in an absentee-ballot case. 🔴 SEPT 18 — VIRGINIA: Haysi Mayor Larry Yates arrested on embezzlement and fraud-related charges. 🔴 SEPT 9 — TENNESSEE: County Commissioner Will Richardson arrested on felony tax charges. 🔴 AUG 26 — MASSACHUSETTS: State Rep. Francisco Paulino arrested in connection with alleged pandemic-relief fraud. 🔴 AUG 14 — MASSACHUSETTS: Lawrence Mayor Brian DePeña arrested on federal fraud and money-laundering charges involving COVID loans. 🔴 AUG 12 — TEXAS: Stamford Mayor James Michael Decker federally indicted over allegedly diverting approximately $308,000. 🔴 AUG 6 — MISSOURI: Interim County Executive Philip LeVota’s federal corruption indictment unsealed. NOW CONSIDER THE BIGGER PICTURE: On March 26, federal prosecutors established a dedicated Benefit & Voter Fraud Team in Massachusetts. On April 7, the DOJ announced a new National Fraud Enforcement Division. And now we’re seeing a series of criminal cases involving elected officials, with allegations ranging from pandemic-relief fraud to money laundering, bribery and abuse of public office. ARE WE WATCHING A BROADER CRACKDOWN BEGIN TO UNFOLD? The convergence of new enforcement initiatives and these high-profile criminal cases certainly warrants closer examination. Nine officials. Seven states. Ninety days. The question isn’t just who’s being arrested. It’s whether we’re witnessing the beginning of a larger enforcement trend. 🇺🇸🟨🇺🇸
.@AGToddBlanche: "This morning, seven individuals were arrested or surrendered for allegedly participating in a large-scale RICO drug trafficking and money laundering conspiracy. One of those individuals is the President pro tempore of the Virginia State Senate, Lillie Louise Lucas... Senator Lucas has been charged and indicted with five counts: racketeering conspiracy, conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute marijuana, conspiracy to launder money, conspiracy to commit honest services fraud, and maintaining a drug-involved premises."

SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. The internet is going into a LOCKDOWN. Hundreds of millions of websites are potentially at risk from cyberattacks. Governments, banks and major platforms have already taken their websites OFFLINE. Many are already calling it “Black October.” At the centre of the shutdowns is something most of us have never heard of, but use every day. PHP, the software behind roughly 7 in 10 websites, has two critical flaws that can let hackers break in without a password. Dubbed PHP2Shell, both are rated 9.2 out of 10 for severity. Details began circulating on Oct 20. Emergency fixes arrived the next day, but attackers were already moving. Cloudflare’s CEO says hacking attempts then jumped from thousands to MILLIONS within hours. Cybersecurity agencies across several countries are telling PHP site owners the same thing: Patch it now, or take it offline. Websites have gone dark worldwide, from government portals and hospitals to banks. CrowdStrike warns these attacks leave almost no trace, so some sites may not know if they’ve been hit. Around 2.6 MILLION internet-facing servers run PHP, potentially hosting hundreds of sites each. Over 1.1 million use older versions no longer receiving official PHP updates. Older installations may need an upgrade to a supported PHP version or a fix from their software provider. And patching does not remove a backdoor an attacker may already have planted. Cloudflare also says hackers are now tweaking their attacks to try to slip past its protections. But PHP isn’t the only security story unfolding. -Japan’s Onamae suspended ALL Desktop Cloud plans after malware was found on customer servers. -India’s eMudhra had 8 website-certificate keys so weak, one was literally the number “4”. -State Bank of India confirmed 3,897 customer records on the dark web. -Criminals used AI agents to break into 400+ Latin American banks. -Capcom confirmed a breach exposing 11.7 million email addresses. -GitLab disclosed a 10/10 severity flaw in versions going back to 2014. -LiteLLM removed a malware-containing release. Railway reported possible exposure of customer secrets. None of these has a confirmed link to PHP2Shell. We’re seeing separate breaches unfold together. The true number of incidents could take months to come out. The world is still on alert. Attacks are still coming.

You know whats interesting is that fact that OpenAI found the PHP bug that means their AI was doing systematic auditing. 🤔 I think the NSA is panicking not just because the PHP bug is public, but because they now realize that AI will systematically expose every intentionally placed backdoor in every open source project. The xz Utils case was caught by human luck. The PHP case was caught by AI. The NSA knows that every other hoarded vulnerability in open source software is about to be found by AI, and they cannot control the timeline.🚨🚨 This incident is very similar to, xz Utils backdoor which proved that state actors infiltrate open source projects by creating fake identities, building trust over time, and slowly inserting malicious code. The Jia Tan identity took years to build trust before inserting the backdoor.🚨🚨 If this worked for xz Utils, it could work for PHP. PHP is far more ubiquitous than xz Utils. A state agent who became a PHP contributor could have inserted the vulnerable code 14 years ago (PHP 5.4.0, released in 2012) and sat on it as a zero-day exploit for over a decade.🚨🚨 There is AISI report which shows that AI is now autonomously doing what Jia Tan did manually - creating fake identities, socially engineering maintainers, inserting malicious code. This means the technique has been weaponized and scaled. 🚨 The PHP vulnerability was not discovered by accident. It was found by AI (OpenAI's tools) because AI is now systematically auditing all open source code. But the bug was likely placed there intentionally by a state agent who was a trusted PHP contributor, following the exact same playbook as Jia Tan in the xz Utils case.🚨 The AISI incident report shows AI agents trying to insert malicious code into open source projects. What if this has already happened successfully? What if AI was used years ago by a state actor to insert the PHP vulnerability, and we're only finding out now because a different AI (OpenAI's) found it?🚨 PHP has had thousands of contributors over 14 years. The vulnerable code was in PHP since version 5.4.0 (2012). Someone wrote that code. Someone reviewed it. Someone approved it. In the xz Utils case, Jia Tan built trust over years before inserting the backdoor. 🚨
Replying to @NSACyber
@NSACyber discovered by OpenAI found a 14-year-old bug in 2026. This bug has existed for 14 years. 🤔 You sure NSA just discover this? . Or Open Ai CAUGHT you using it quietly decrypting traffic, stealing credentials, and maintaining backdoors on global infrastructure for over a decade. 🤔 And why would you announce this out in the open unless YOU want every hacker on earth to KNOW about this to start harvesting TLS keys from unpatched EOL servers.
