I started something today…
Life of a Subway Alum: Chapter 3
Arriving the week of Notre Dame vs. Miami
To be clear, the SEC might just be avoiding the Notre Dame - Miami window.
Or Lane Kiffin is right & everyone is out to get him for reasons he bears no responsibility for.
Who’s to judge?
NEW: Lane Kiffin on LSU-Alabama getting the 2:30 p.m. CT slot instead of the night game he expected:
"If someone thinks the SEC wants us to win this year after what’s been going on, they must have just been on Mars the last four months. So I guess when I look at it that way, I’m not surprised."

Me: A loss to BYU doesn’t sink the season. The Irish control their fate & I still feel confident against Miami.
Also me: Checking Wisconsin’s remaining schedule in case Notre Dame needs a resume boost come December.
It all makes sense why BYU’s altitude didn’t wear down Jaden Greathouse. He’s raising a newborn. Four quarters without rest weren’t stopping him.
In all seriousness, this is so sweet. I try not to tag players on here but as a fellow girl dad - keep up the good work @jadengreat1!
For the record - the Navy rivalry should be protected at all costs. If you don’t know the history behind it, @TopTierIrish explains it well.
In this era I know tradition doesn’t always matter to everyone. But it matters at Notre Dame.
“Leadership is what the people you lead need.”
I feel like I’m in the minority, but the BYU loss hasn’t changed my outlook on the season.
This is when Marcus Freeman is at his best. NIU unlocked an edge in 2024.
No reason he can’t do it in 2026.
“One second represents one more play & we can’t use it as an excuse…there were many one plays that if we win that play, it changes the outcome”
Coach Freeman sounded confident about the problems & solutions today.
That confidence feels contagious.

The depth chart for Notre Dame vs. Navy is out.
Minimal change after the bye week. Coach Freeman said the staff will focus more on rotating players moving forward
I still believe this team is deeper than we’ve seen thus far. But it’s time to prove it before Miami.
Thanks as always to @NDFootballPR for sharing these! ☘️
“What though the odds be great or small”
It’s one of my favorite lines of the Notre Dame fight song. As I write the most difficult chapter of my story, I can think of no better title.
Life of a Subway Alum Chapter 3: Odds Great or Small arrives next week.
CJ Carr is in Ann Arbor today to cheer on his younger brother Tommy in his first start! 🥹
StubHub failing Brewers fans at the World Series is awful. But not surprising.
They did the same to me two weeks ago. Assured Notre Dame tickets by 12:30 (3 hours before kickoff). Then changed it to 12:30 PT (kickoff) & gaslit us.
Receipts kept. @StubHub - please be better.
The sickening stories keeping coming in…😢😢😢
SHAME ON YOU, @StubHub.
Imagine being a kid, a HUGE @Brewers fan, and finding out you’re going to see your team play in the WORLD SERIES! ⚾️💙💛
The excitement. The anticipation. The memories you’re already imagining making.
Now imagine having that excitement ripped away because a company sold your 3 tickets that you bought, that they apparently can’t deliver.
That’s exactly what we’re dealing with right now.
We purchased THREE tickets to the Milwaukee Brewers World Series for Game 1 last Tuesday(13th) through StubHub. We selected our section, our row, paid for our tickets, and received our order confirmation.
Everything was supposed to be set.
Then suddenly, StubHub tells us they’re “searching for replacement options” because they can’t provide the tickets we purchased.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
How does a company accept someone’s hard earned money, confirm a purchase, and then turn around and say they can’t fulfill it?!
And their solution? We can request a refund while they continue looking for tickets.
THIS ISN’T ABOUT THE MONEY.
It’s about the experience. It’s about the memories. It’s about the excitement of a kid, his dad, and grandpa, who thought they were going to watch their favorite baseball team play on the biggest stage in baseball.
Look at the first picture. That’s the disappointment you’re creating, StubHub.
A refund doesn’t replace that moment.
And here’s what really bothers me…
StubHub advertises a “FanProtect Guarantee” and tells customers their orders are “100% guaranteed.”
Guaranteed WHAT, exactly?!
Because from where we’re sitting, that guarantee doesn’t feel worth much when you can’t deliver the tickets you sold us.
We did everything right. We purchased through a major ticket marketplace. We trusted the confirmation. We trusted the guarantee.
Now it’s time for StubHub to make it right.
We aren’t asking for anything extra. We want the three tickets we paid for, or comparable or better seats together, at no additional cost.
Stubhub…DO BETTER.
Please SHARE this. Not just for us, but for every fan who has trusted a ticket company with an experience that means so much more than the price of admission.

After telling my toddler the Irish are taking a break this weekend:
“Can Notre Dame come back next week? I miss them.”
It feels like I’m doing this girl dad thing right. ☘️💜
“Freeman embodied those values - values espoused by the institution he wears on his chest.”
- BYU President Shane Reese
There’s plenty of angst among our fanbase after BYU. But Marcus Freeman is still the perfect coach for Notre Dame.
We’ll be ok.
