There is progress being made, but realistically we know we're behind where we thought we'd be; Obviously the best financial decision is to release what we have, but we want to be proud of Summerford; it's occupied our lives for years now!

We let feature scope come in. Summerford started as a PS1 style Survival horror and our vision expanded to the extent where we let ourselves get overwealmed. The last few months have been about dialing back

Some of the challenges we've faced - We mirrored controls of the original RE games. It makes logical sense for a fixed camera game, but people new to the concept of fixed camera's struggled.

- Unlike a lot of titles we can't rely as heavily on the asset store; there simply isn't as many English feeling assets as you'd expect. That means thousands of unique models having to be crafted

Starting getting back into the swing of Summerford after a bit of a hiatus to recharge. Game development is far from a breeze and burnout is real but the world of Summerford is rich and we're super excited for its current direction!

Also had to recharge and remember to listen to the positive as well as the negative. Got tons of amazing feedback and lots of really positive comments but of course, mentally focused on the small percentage of negativity.

One of the major things we've come to realise is that light isn't the enemy of horror so you'll start to see the screenshots become a bit brighter.

Dream Valley, Summerford's first and last theme park. Built to try to keep Summerford tourism relevant, it quickly fell into disrepair as holidays abroad became the norm

Going through the demo feedback one of the points raised was fixed save points are one of the retro aspects people want to see the back of - agree or disagree? Should there be a quick save function in Summerford

When you are in lockdown and have a birthday, but your wife works on a survival horror and you have a creepy basement... She made an entire escape room experience based on Summerford in our basement! Impressed by @flearah
