Sunima bridge now works both ways.
In: lock btUSD on Arbitrum, validators attest, Sunima verifies a proof and mints.
Out: burn on Sunima, 5 of 7 validators sign the exit. No single key.
First withdrawal hit Arbitrum in ~1 min.
Try it: sunima.uk/testnet/bridge.htm…
SUNA has a fixed supply of 100,000,000.
There is no mint module on the chain. Validator rewards come from an allocation made at the start, not from printing new coins later. That means nobody can vote more coins into existence when it is convenient.
The split: - 34% protocol - 26% ecosystem - 17% users - 15% team - 8% investors Every share has a published schedule. The table and the dates are on the tokenomics page.

v20 is live on the Sunima testnet.
The upgrade ran at block 2,600,100. The vote passed 100% yes. During the switch there were about 24 seconds between two blocks, then the chain went on as normal. All 12 active validators were signing again right after.
What we watch on every upgrade: - does every validator come back on its own - how long is the gap - does anything in state look different from the rehearsal This one matched the rehearsal. That is the boring result we want.

Someone just finished every testnet quest we have — and got the 🏆 Quest Master role in our Discord. Bridge, staking, governance votes, a private transfer, the lot. Next one could be you: sunima.uk/testnet/quests.htm…
Privacy isn't hiding. Your neighbour doesn't need to see your salary. Your landlord doesn't need your spending history. That's normal life — and most blockchains broke it. We're trying to put it back.
"Private" and "lawful" aren't opposites. On Sunima your transfers are private by default. A court order can open one specific case — after most validators agree. No back door for one person. No black hole for criminals.
Things we got wrong this week 🧵 1/ Before writing the bridge withdrawal code, we gave the design to independent AI reviewers and asked them to break it.
Then the code went through the same thing: five rounds, until both reviewers had nothing serious left.
Why no one holds the key on Sunima 🧵 1/ Think of a bank vault that needs 5 of 7 managers to turn their keys at the same time. Lose one manager — the vault still opens. Bribe one — nothing happens.
None of them ever sees the whole key. Neither do we. If someone tries to cheat with a bad piece, the chain sees exactly who it was.
How safe is our bridge? An honest scorecard 🧵
Most big bridge hacks (Ronin $600M, Harmony $100M) had one thing in common: an attacker collected enough signing keys.
Here is what we do about that, and what we haven't done yet.
- No unproven exits. This morning the chain itself refused our own test withdrawal until the deposits behind it were proven. Annoying, and exactly right.
Not yet:
- Key holders outside our team
- Ethereum light client for final proofs
- External audit
- ZK proof on exit
Testnet first, no real value at risk. We'll post each step as it lands.
