The Kentucky Department of Education is reminding drivers of a recent change in state law regarding when drivers must stop for school buses picking up students. Read more about the change: kentuckyteacher.org/news/202…
Kentucky school bus safety stop law is effective July 15, 2026. graphic shows cars and busses on the road with arrows pointing which direction cars are traveling. One side says drivers must stop on a 4 lane roadway with no median separation. The other side says the only exception is 4 lanes plus a divided highway or median separation.
