1/6 - I play Castlevania games for atmospheric exploration, methodical progression, and combat. I don't play to have to hit multiple successive inputs on my controller in order to get through a single room where I lose health for failing to press buttons in the correct order...
This is 2 weeks in a row where the 49ers have looked very mediocre, despite winning last week. No one goes undefeated but great teams rarely loose to teams like the Falcons. Bad look for the 9ers...
I managed to beat Mammon in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse today as well. This is one of those bosses that hovers slightly out of reach and shoots at weird angles. I managed to get him on my 3rd try.

I managed to beat Carmilla in Belmont's Curse earlier today. I must say though, getting to her was far more difficult that actually defeating her. I'm not even sure how I won the fight.

In addition to nursing my freshly casted triple fracture, I now have a gnarly cold that has set up shop in my voicebox. I've tried sitting down to stream and play but im too tired and sick. Hopefully I'll be back in a few days.
I wasn't overly impressed with Final Fantasy Resonance so I'll be passing on it. The demo felt kind of cheap, easy, and uninteresting to me...kinda like all post merger Final Fantasy games have felt.
Any comparison to SOTN with regards to Belmont's Curse is entirely disingenuous and really, really stupid. Rose's game is mediocre at best.
Here's further evidence that a skill issue isn't the problem I have with Belmont's Curse...which is much, much easier than all of these games. Some people as too stupid to know that they're even stupid.
I'll be live with Castlevania: Belmont's Curse at 8:45 am PDT today. Full disclosure...I don't like this game so I am playing with 6 potions and spike damage turned off so that I can get through it as quickly as possible.

I beat Talos in Belmont's Curse last night. Despite the game's many flaws, this boss was really cool but damn the escape sequence is tough.

The egregiously erroneous statement that my problems with Belmont's Curse stem from a lack of skill is just that. The "Git Gud" crowd is really stupid, and tone deaf.
Comparing the simplistic whip traversal mechanics in Super Castlevania IV to those found in Belmont's Curse is disingenuous and really, really stupid. The two couldn't be 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 different.
John nails it here, 100% accurate. Pseudo revisionist arguments are always specious at best and outright stupid at their worst.
1. Alucard was established in previous titles and playable.
2. Richter is also present and playable.
3. SOTN is a DIRECT sequel to the best classicvania ever created.
4. We loved it then and we would have loved it now. SOTN is a love letter to everything that came before it and a continuation of established lore that respects fans.
5. That soundtrack absolutely fucks.
The most interesting thing about Belmont's Curse thus far is that picture at the top of that wall in Dracula's Castle. Why is he there and why is he wearing clothing indicative of 1799? Is it a lazy oversight or just dumb fan service with zero impact on the story?
