If you haven't heard Justin Pearson's speech to the TN State House today you need to listen.
"Today, you will take the only Black-majority district from us. But I want you to know: No matter what you do, no matter how much you try to break us & make us bend & quit, we will still be here."
Good people who understand the Constitution and care are sick of our racist president and his hateful minions.
We stand with Justin Pearson today and every single day.

This women said I was signing my daughter out of school yesterday, standing in the main office next to another mom who was clearly holding back tears.
She had just finished signing her child out when I heard her ask the security guard who she could speak to about withdrawing her daughter from school.
The guard looked confused and said, “School’s almost over… why not just wait a few more weeks so she can finish the year?”
And the mom said something I can’t stop thinking about:
“I wish I could… but we can’t. We have to self-deport by May. They stripped us of our asylum. We have to go back to Guatemala.”
My heart shattered right there 💔.
I looked at her and told her how sorry I was. I couldn’t stop saying, “I’m so, so sorry. I’m so sorry you and your baby are going through this. I’m sorry people failed you.”
Because that’s exactly what this is. A failure.
What made it heavier is that this school and the very town the school is in, is so loud and proud in their support for the very policies causing this.
So I said it: “I’m sorry the people here voted for this to happen to you.”
& the security guard interrupted me and said, “We regret voting for him. We didn’t know it would be like this.”
& I couldn’t hold it in. I said, “Regret what? You didn’t know what? He told you. He was clear. You just didn’t think it would affect you.” She stayed silent.
A mother and her daughter being forced to leave the only life they know. A child losing her school, her safety, her normal. A woman who’s done nothing but work and try to build something better… forced to have to start over in a place filled with uncertainty and possible danger.
These are not bad people.
They are families. They are kids. They are trying.
And they deserved better 😞💔

PERSONAL BEEF #2 - People relentlessly commenting on a candidate’s physical appearance. KNOCK IT OFF!
First of all - Your children are watching and listening. Is that what you want to teach them to judge others by? Then they will also judge themselves by the same standards.
PERSONAL BEEF #1- Several times I have noticed both parties giving me only half truths. Why? First - TRUTH always matters. You insult my intelligence by feeding me half truths. Second - We underestimate the influence this has on the public.

Exactly. The misconception that affirmative action meant unqualified people have been admitted into college solely because of their race was never true and is quite frankly an ignorant interpretation. Thank you @joyannreid for setting the record straight and sharing your truth!

Remember, the Constitution does NOT stipulate the number of Supreme Court justices — that’s set by Congress. It’s been legally changed seven times over the years, with the size of the court varying from six to ten seats.
Since there are currently 13 federal appellate courts, many would argue that it makes sense to expand the Supreme Court to 13 seats. There’s also a broad public consensus that Congress should impose term limits on the court, along with a strict code of ethics for the justices.
What do you think?

A brother in Taylor, Mississippi dismembered body was found on private property owned by Esau. Rasheem Carter, 25 years old.
The police said that there was no foul play surrounding his death.
Prior to him coming up missing and being found dead, he called his Mom and told her th – at Mississippi, USA

ALT This image was captured on a deer camera. He’s obviously looking at something in the forest and his stance is one of defense looking at the way that his left arm is extended. He’s also carrying a huge branch, clearly to try and protect himself. It appears to me from looking at that photo, that this man was fighting and running for his life against Esau hiding in the bushes in camouflage clothing to blend in with the trees and branches, so they could hunt this man down like an animal.
