🚨WE WON!
After years of campaigning, the Govt is set to scrap ‘Aim to Permit’ - giving councils and local communities power to say NO to new gambling venues.
We delivered for London and all UK. Thank you @andyburnham & to all who backed my campaign.
Please share the news! 🥰

This is what happens when you don't have Labour running local authorities.
@mhclg should take Crews Hill out of Enfield’s hands, designate it as a Development Corporation, and get on with building the homes London desperately needs.

The 2026 local elections are officially over, and what a journey it’s been. I’m so proud of our local activists and grateful to have worked alongside some fantastic Labour Party candidates.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped out and supported us throughout the campaign🌹❤️

Grateful to Jubilee voters who returned all three Labour cllrs. Thank you!
Some amazing colleagues didn’t get elected & this makes me sad because I know how amazing they would have been. 🌹🌹🌹

One of your closest friends has liked tweets praising Enoch Powell.
She has repeatedly referred to our beloved London as “Londonistan” – a term we all recognise as Islamophobic.
In my ward, which I’ve been proud to represent , we have always rejected this kind of racism.
It was such an honour to have one of my closest friends @Councillorsuzie campaign with us in Enfield today. She’s the greatest Mayor of London we never had.

It’s absolutely fantastic news for London that both Crews Hill and Chase Park in Enfield, and Thamesmead in Greenwich, have ben confirmed as new towns.
Between them the locations have the potential to deliver 36,000 homes. theguardian.com/society/2026…

Grant Shapps blocked housing here when he was Transport Secretary - the Labour government unblocked it.

I stand in solidarity with the Kurdish community amid escalating violence in North East Syria. Civilians must be protected.
I join our MP calling for de-escalation, humanitarian access, and inclusive peace talks that recognise the rights of millions of Kurds.

The violence in north-east Syria must stop.
Lives are being lost & communities torn apart. I’ve pressed Ministers for urgent action - raising this in Parliament & writing to the Foreign Secretary - as Kurdish communities and other minorities face grave risk.
Action is needed now
