We are so delighted with our @KingsAwardVS - wonderful recognition for our fantastic volunteers.

Thoroughly deserved!👏

We were delighted to have you visit and see all our work and meet some of our Care Farmers
Thank you for making the time!
@Susans_Farm is an organic, working farm transforming people's lives by providing opportunities for outdoor learning whilst developing skills, confidence and resilience. They've just been awarded a King’s Award for Voluntary Service.
🙏Wonderful tour & welcoming lunch.

A good walk around a couple of our @Susans_Farm hay meadows this evening - orchids much more widespread this year and still in full bloom. 1/2
Meet ‘Unique’ our new @LonghornOffice calf!
Our care farmers were super excited to discover her

We @Susans_Farm are in the same position (organic and CS). At the moment in my experience SFI is not an option to those already in CS/HLS on unimproved grassland / herbal leys. I don't think Defra have modelled the lack of accessibility of SFI on #HighNatureValue farmers.
So pleased you all enjoyed yourselves
We enjoyed @OpenFarmSunday @Susans_Farm today! Our school has been on brilliant trips here for years and my little boy loved it today too.Well done to all the team for a great showcase of what you offer. #farming #cumbria @WildlifeTrusts

Brilliant to have @Stoneraise_SCH visiting us last week - aren't they enjoying themselves - the Nature Curriculum can never start too young @bartonsensei

The Nursery children had their very first school trip today. We had a lovely morning in the woods at Susan’s Farm in Houghton . We think our bears enjoyed it too 😬🐻😬
Alongside our Care Farming we encourage nature on our farm...here are some flowers to cheer your day; being in nature is proven to help well-being #NatureFriendlyFarmingWeek #MentalHealthMatters #GoNative

Amazing if this became BAU -
It is tough running a Care Farm at the moment. Just done our budgets for 2022/23 and while demand for services is sky rocketing expenditure exceeds income by 16% @RichardHRBenyon @SFarms_Gardens
