Grok @bot is great, it saves so much time. It's limited tho when the answer is on your Mac. It can’t check your texts, look through your files, or see your reminders and recent calls. Grox Connect gives it access to your Mac apps. Then you can ask things like: - Did I respond to John’s text - Find the PDF I saved in Downloads last week - Who called me yesterday, and did I call them back - What’s on all my calendars tomorrow - Draft an email using the notes on my Mac Instead of finding everything yourself and pasting it into the chat, Grox Connect lets your bot access all that info. swiftdev.dev/grox-connect/

iPhone Duo folds right where a backgammon board does. So I built backgammon for it. Nardy is out today, and it plays on any iPhone too 🎲 apps.apple.com/app/id6815637…

I'm embarrassed to say how many years it's been but @BlackboxPuzzles just got it's 82nd challenge :) Oh and full iPhone Duo support in any pose, orientation, split, fold, you name it ✨ More to come and a lot sooner than last time… apps.apple.com/us/app/blackb…

I do like how Sean takes complete ownership of this. Doesn't blame ai for taking his job but just realises it is what it is. The post also shows us how much he cares about teaching others. To the point of making all the content available to download. And I think you can read into this thinking it's the end. But actually. Sometimes it's important to close the door so you can focus on opening up the next. I love his passion for helping others and his commitment to that. And I look forward to seeing where his journey takes us next.
🚨 Going out of business sale 🚨 iOS dev course sales plummeted due to AI. It costs a lot of money to host my courses online and with sales at basically $0, I've cancelled that hosting. This closes down the site which unfortunately removes access to the courses. I want you to have the courses you purchased forever, so I've added the ability to download my course videos so they are yours. I've put my recent course on sale at a large discount so you can get it before it's gone and I've made old courses available for free if you want to grab those too. The school will be online until November 24th so you have a few weeks to download these videos at seanallen.teachable.com Thanks for learning with me and supporting my work over the years. I appreciate it.

Sean’s courses were instrumental in getting me to where I am today, it’s sad to see that courses are dead, but this is a great chance to get those courses. On behalf of the iOS dev community thank you Sean!

I built an /askappledocs CLI tool that will pull the relevant apple docs into session context BEFORE the agent starts coding. It's saved me A LOT of wasted tokens! Blog post below 👇

NGL it works for me most of the time, its insane how I have to prompt even less, just tab and enter
ICYMI: Composer predictions are now live for all Pro users in Codex. It allows codex to analyse your entire conversation and project context to suggest the next best prompt. In the past 2 weeks, it’s successfully predicted 36% of my next steps & about 11% more with minor changes to the suggestion. Give it a shot ;)

How to build iPhone Duo apps that use both displays at once was one of the top questions at our hackathon. So we made it easy!
Bitrig can now stream your Mac’s camera into its 3D simulator. Build iPhone Duo camera apps that use both displays and see them from either side. bitrig.link/blog/build-iphon…

With the current Codex reset frenzy, I've unleashed Astra 6 on Ultra and it is blowing my mind with some really incredible work. Use these prompts: 1. "Examine this project thoroughly, looking for bugs. Treat it as an adversarial review using as many subagents as you want. When an issue comes back, double-check it's correct, and add checked issues to a list." 2. "When all agents have finished, walk me through each issue one at a time, giving me reproduction steps so I can verify." 3. "For all bugs I report as verified, write a failing test proving the bug exists, fix the issue, check your work carefully, then run the test again to verify it's resolved." It's found 43 issues so far, only 2 of which I disagreed with. Some minor, yes, but some big ones too 🙈

Shoutout to @bitrig for having a stable simulator!
Apple needs to release a unified Xcode 27.3 with a DeviceHub thats stable and supports the earlier OS's without needing the Xcode 26 simulator. The current setup is a mess Xcode 27.0 for regular releases Xcode 27.2 for the latest beta and 27.1 for Duo and sometimes all the device hubs and simulators open and then you close one of them and it closes all of them, plus Xcode 27.1 RC is super laggy
