No stream today. Voting after work then home to rest. I've continued to deal with ongoing health issues. Got some appointments upcoming and a minor surgery in a few weeks. Taking it one day at a time. Trying to keep positive, but won't lie some days are just hard.
PSA! Do the extra work and make sure your vote is counted! Get more info on how at the link below.

I keep seeing “the Red War lawsuit” brought up since the Unvaulting announcement and it’s been annoying my last few remaining brain cells, so…
Bungie couldn’t submit the legacy build of Red War as an exhibit to the Court because Bungie “cannot feasibly provide the Court with the original Destiny 2 game as it existed in 2017”. Mind you, this was at very early stages of the lawsuit (which was obviously a sham to anyone with half a brain. The plaintiff Martineau waited 7 YEARS to file after he knew the campaign was no longer playable??) prior to discovery during a motion to dismiss from Bungie. Unvaulting Red War (what Bungie is doing now) would not have been an acceptable exhibit for the judge as “original work” since it’ll undergo TONS OF CHANGES to make it playable with D2’s updated underlying framework.
Also, Project Sunrise “modders” said that players would never be able truly play Red War but instead explore it a little, which also would not have been accepted by a judge in a copyright case at that stage.

They also said there was no way red war campaign can be brought back. That no playable build existed and it's impossible to bring it back over multiple blogs and in the lawsuit. And then we he modders. And now all of a sudden it is and was possible to bring it back chose not to
Editing videos from tonight's conversation. This was a banger stream and as always our community held real honest and thoughtful conversations. Some folks are concerned about length of time, but as we discussed, a few weeks ago Destiny was dead. Let them cook.

I've talked about this so much over the years and have more ideas regarding the social aspects of Destiny in patrol spaces, but especially during this period of time, more opportunities for organic social experiences, whether it's fishing, Escalation Protocol, etc are important.

Fishing is not a part of the plan right now, but we're actively gathering feedback as players read the blog and process the news.
What's missing from the unvaulting list that feels pivotal vs nice to have?
We do have some limitations on how much we can do here, so we want to focus on the bits that mean the most to the community.

Hope the upcoming PvE mode can get some interest, but totally understandable.
All in all, it's more rooting for each game to succeed rather than rooting for failure out of spite.
We (Bungie) need to fix things, for sure. Community side, we hope folks can put down the pitchforks and get along.

As a Mass Effect fan I've been excited to check out Exodus and from everything I've seen so far, I'm impressed. Here's my breakdown and thoughts on the latest gameplay footage.

Super impressed with the gameplay, combat, and element of player choice in Exodus. I also like that they showed off the consequences and alternate outcomes with each choice. The updated Jun face model also looks pretty good. Just wish we had an option for some facial hair 😅
40 new minutes of gameplay from Exodus is most welcome after last week's Mass Effect/BioWare news. Check it out if you're interested:

I'd love to see a future Destiny game lean into more MMO systems and features such as expanding the class/subclass systems and options.
Started watching "FROM" last night and binged the whole first season. The mystery of it all is so addicting. Can't believe I'm just finding out about this show.
