We're looking for new opportunities in the new year! We have openings in our schedule for new work from existing clients, and we welcome new referrals to help us expand.
We've recently added new skills including Stripe integration, WordPress development & custom maps! #YQG
Assuming I'm not the only one reluctantly back here wondering what's happening at phpc.social. 🤔
Good luck working on it guys!
#PHP #PHPC
I have some niche experience in multilingual projects (EN/FR) and Canadian insurance rating. I could pick #Laravel back up quickly.

It might be a setting on my google account. 🤔

I don't get it. I use the app, not an incognito tab, and all I ever see are adds for sending money overseas, random medicines & other bland generic things. My ads don't seem personalized at all. 🤷♀️

We've been enjoying it, but it does feel like at this pace we won't really *get anywhere* without several seasons. Hope it doesn't get the axe.

I see this hate for #PHP always from devs who haven't touched it since <= v5 or have never used it. And it's always in the context of "my language is better therefore I'm better."
It's pretty pathetic at this point.

If there's one thing that the social-political environment has shown me these days, it's that people *hunger* for a target to punch down at to make themselves feel better.

Humanity is going to face a reckoning for sure & will have to decide if the humanity behind the art matters at all.
I saw video of that mod that adds AI generated voices to the NPCs in WOW. It's uncanny how 'good' it is. Sadly I can already see the artistic jobs vanishing. 😓

AI will take the 'risk' of an artist's vision out of the equation & keep people comfortable. And when you have systemic unhappiness in a society, this is no surprise.
I'm clearly not optimistic about these AI developments. 😔

And you see it in the insane entitled reactions to movies & games. People want content *catered to them*, not a journey the artist takes them on- outside their control.
People are intolerant of being uncomfortable or being exposed to new perspectives: a symptom of unhappiness.

It kills me because we assume it's the artistic, creative stuff that AI will never be able to replicate.
But I think we've been subtly trained over the last decade to devalue the humans behind the content we consume. Clickbait news, algorithmic feeds, mass produced content. 😔

Mine did today. Solved it twice. Now my streak is at 1. 😓
