Childkilling is an ethical line in regard to your character, that is, what kind of a man you are. A man who crosses this line — the deliberate and premeditated murder of innocent children — is forever on the other side of that line.
No matter what else you say about his character or his reputed virtues, he is a childkiller. He has shown himself already and to all as being gravely morally defective, in at least one regard.
His character is compromised. "Being a childkiller" is compromising in the same way "being a rapist" is.
Anakin can still be the protagonist, but let's not falsify his character just because we noticed that he is a more interesting character than we previously fully noticed.
Being a childkiller is an un-erasable black stain on a man's name.

How is there not a class action lawsuit against Prisons or Judicial System?
