A common source of anxiety for many creatives is “time” and their lack of it. But this is a false narrative. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚. Verbal repetition can reverse this thinking. Remind yourself, daily, you have enough time.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝘀, "𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.” Hollywood is built on strong unions. And without AI regulation, those unions will refuse to work until they exist.

Let’s discuss why this is nothing but 𝗮 𝗺𝘆𝘁𝗵. The process of hiring an actor is one that involves many people/opinions. Consistency in your work, training and how right you are for the role is what lands you the job. Focus more on 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 know you know vs. 𝘸𝘩𝘰 you know.

The idea that you absolutely have zero chance of making it as a working actor is statistically impossible. Instead of thinking “it’s not going to happen for me,” ask yourself the opposite: “what if it all works out?" #thecastingdirectorscut #mondaymythdebunker
