This past stream i have finished my journey into the modern Ninja gaiden games to honor Itagaki-san. I was not fully aware of his legacy but i can confirm his DOA did influence me in a special way. I am not the same person i was when i started with Sigma but im glad i finished it
Thank you itagaki. I hope despite me not being as good I honored your legacy. I might actually take some of the stories of you and apply them to myself so i can be even remotely close to being based as you were.
Looking back when i started sigma i definitely felt like i was more innocent despite my experience with hard games and now with my sanity broken in half and a lot of IRL mishaps happening in between playing the series, i repeat with confidence im not the man i once was.
Ninja gaiden 4 is easily my favorite from the combat variety, epic af bosses and OST and expansion of the lore between the raven and dragon clan and RYU FELT SO BUSTED OH MY GOD I LOVED PLAYING AS HIM EVERY CHANCE I GOT.
Razors edge i actually played beforehand on the wii u and i can see why i remember enjoying it but that final boss was worse than i remember. The steel on bone mechanic is one of my favorite features in a hack and slash game and of course in the entire trilogy
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black felt like a breath of fresh air from the quality of life updates it fixed from the first Sigma game. While there were still challenges i at least enjoyed a lot about it to make it in one piece (although fuck that stair segment)
Ninja gaiden sigma was the first game i streamed THIS year and it threw a lot at me that i couldnt imagine. within the first fucking level i was already challenged to the point where it felt like the game was throwing a brick at my dick at all times.
