This week, local, state, and federal partners were on the ground in southern Minnesota assessing the damage caused by recent flooding. These joint assessments are a critical step in documenting impacts, understanding community needs, and supporting a request for federal disaster assistance. Grateful for the dedicated teams working together to help affected communities recover and rebuild. @MnDPS_DPS

Honored to join the groundbreaking for the new @MnDPS_MSP headquarters. This investment supports the men and women of the Minnesota State Patrol and strengthens public safety for communities across our state. A great example of bipartisan support, alongside investments in the State Emergency Operations Center and the BCA. Proud to be there for this historic milestone.

Remember what it was like the day after September 11, 2001? September 12 reminds us of something worth remembering: after tragedy, we were united. We looked past our differences, cared for our neighbors, and put country over division. We can do that again.

There are times I miss being on the front lines as a firefighter and chief. But today, my job is to ensure those answering the call have the support, resources, and coordination they need to succeed. After seeing the wildfire response efforts in northern Minnesota firsthand, I’m more committed than ever to supporting the men and women protecting our communities and natural resources.

At the @MnDPS_DPS State Emergency Operations Center today with our state agency partners supporting the wildland fire response in northern Minnesota. While the @MnDNR and firefighters battle the fires on the front lines, we’re coordinating resources and support behind the scenes to help keep Minnesotans safe. Thank you to everyone answering the call.
