Oliver Tambo envisioned a South Africa built on peace, reconciliation and a shared future. Today, we must ask: what is our vision for the country we want to leave for future generations? The future of South Africa is a collective responsibility. #WeThePeople

A Manufactured Decline The TMF responds to The Common Sense, arguing that South Africa’s decline since 2008 was deliberately manufactured by forces inside and outside the state, and that the full story of its collapse has yet to be told. thecommonsense.co.za/Editori…

South Africa's democracy was not a gift and it was not an accident. It was imagined, argued and organised into being over most of a century, by African thinkers and movements who were writing bills of rights while the law still treated them as subjects #WeThePeople @OriginsCentre

SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦 "Employment equity became law in 1998, the mining legislation in 2002, and broad-based empowerment in 2003. All three were in place before the growth the editorial board praises had peaked. And by 2008, fixed investment had risen from 15% to 22% of GDP, employment had nearly doubled, and public debt had fallen to 24% of GDP. Those figures do not settle every policy debate, but they leave concerned South Africans with two questions to answer: why the economy grew under these laws, and what changed when that growth gave way to decline." -- @TMFoundation_

THABO MBEKI DENIES ALLEGED PLOT TO GRANT FORMER APARTHEID SECURITY OFFICIALS AMNESTY Former President Thabo Mbeki has strongly denied allegations that he met former apartheid-era police and army generals as part of an alleged plot to grant them blanket amnesty during the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) process. Mbeki made the denial while testifying before the TRC Cases Inquiry, where questions surrounding unresolved apartheid-era crimes and the pursuit of justice remain under scrutiny. The inquiry continues to examine issues linked to South Africa’s efforts to confront its past and establish accountability for crimes committed during apartheid. The central question remains: what happened to the unresolved TRC cases, and will the victims and their families finally get answers? #ThaboMbeki #TRCInquiry #ApartheidCrimes #TruthAndReconciliation #SouthAfricaNews #AfricanVibeMedia

4/6 For his family, as for so many others, the search for truth remains unfinished. These unanswered questions remind us that reconciliation carries a deeply human responsibility to those still seeking answers about their loved ones.
