I can't believe this is a hot take, but on the false idea that Web2 IP proliferation will drive NFT value...
Let's take Azuki for example.
If their TCG is a massive success. Guess what will accrue value.. the rare/desirable TCGs... not the NFTs.
By severing connections between the NFTs and Web2 ventures, they also break the cultural link. They break the nostalgia. The idea that fans of their TCG will suddenly be like "oh man, I love Azuki, let me just go buy this NFT" when they are making active efforts to hide their web3 arm on all socials now (you have to go under the "more" part of their main webpage to even see a mention of NFTs), is crazy talk.
I think the "1st edition collectibles" take on how NFTs like PP, Azuki will accrue value through web2 proliferation is garbage, and lip service to try to twist the fact they just used the NFTs for funding and are now backing away slowly from web3.
